Hunting from a ground blind is one of my favorite ways to hunt. The challenge can be getting to the blind or leaving the blind without deer knowing it. I have harvested many deer from blinds and try to make the setups as low of an impact as possible. I used the slashing left behind from the logging to help screen my blind. The slashing will also provide cover for other animals like rabbits. Check for any ordinances in your area that may deal with slashing before piling them. I also like to use evergreens for screening but that takes years before it is effective.
