Platti was an italian musician. He studied music specifically violin and oboe. Platti was contemporary the invention of the fortepiano and many of their compositions were for this instrument instead harpsichord. He was author of sacred music, several concertos for cello and strings, trios and sonatas. His music is markedly different of that of Vivaldi, Torelli , Corelli, etc although belonging to the same Baroque period. The music is more fickle and restless, which makes it unique and original. Although, his concertos are musically sublime and some of them are finer and deeper feeling than your contemporaries. Platti is one outstanding compositor that managed to somehow change the current structure melodic of the grossi concert.
How beautiful is the painting: this colonnade with people walking with these fantastic attires...Awesome music, of course

1:02-1:06 is when I went looking for an another recording...
??
My sense is that the tempos were too frantic here.
Maybe you new to study more Baroque Music……
