Nothing worse than having a hacking cough mate but having the ear infections also even worse. Shame about the car and im sorry this has happened to you both!
Sorry for your loss.. Hope the Insurance payout is not too painful. I hope this does not come across as smug but I have a keyless start BM which is high up on the most stolen list and when I first got I saw a few relay theft stories like your own and was horrified - I went out and got a Ghost immobiliser and as deterrent a steering lock. TBH I no longer use the steering lock and have confidence that the only way my car is leaving the drive is on the back of a transporter or over my dead body. May be worth the £500 ish for a sound nights sleep when you get your new one. All the best- Good luck.
