The line where he says “Don’t be too proud of this technological terror you have constructed, the ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the force” is so genius because he basically had to come to terms with what he became and his limitations. He’s one of the wisest movie villains ever.
Most of Vader's voices seem pretty sinister. I think I might rather see Palpatine show up. Imagine Vader showing up. He tells you the Emperor is coming. Then you stupidly ask Vader if the Emperor is coming, and he says 'That is correct Commander, and he is most displeased with your apparent lack of progress.' I would abandon ship, for sure. He didn't even say anything sinister in that line. He just warned the guy.

Captain Needa actually survived the encounter and returned with a different uniform as Captain Leopold since Lord Vader is like the Incredible Hulk: rebel terrorists are worthy targets.
I love how when he’s talking to the bounty hunters, when he says, “No disintegrations” he specifically turns and points at Boba because Boba’s got a reputation for that. Even among the Empire, his reputation is still legendary and second to none.
In the original cut, Boba fett killed Luke's family by lining them up and burning them, execution style. They cut that for obvious reasons. Keep in mind this was Anakin's family too, so he might have been genuinely irritated, even though they technically enslaved his mother.

Fett was an independent bounty hunter who had no reason to kill anyone in Luke's family. Then, of Luke's immediate family, only his mother is dead. His sister and father are both alive and well (albeit his father is 'absent').

For those who didn’t know Admiral Piett had been secretly making Ozzle the former admiral of Death Squadron (Vader’s fleet) look bad in front of Vader for about two years before his death. Ozzle was overconfident underqualified and apathetic. As we all know Apathy is death. He got his high possession due to money and a long family history of republic officers from the core. He even believed he was the true owner of Death squadron when everyone knew it was Vader’s fleet and Ozzle was just a figurehead. Piett on the other hand earned his position through hard work and loyalty. He came from a poor planet in the mid rim I think. He was so well known Vader hand picked him to captain the Devastator then later Executor after it was built and was one of the only officers Vader never killed. Among those in the Imperial Navy Piett earned the title “The man so valuable even Darth Vader couldn’t kill him.”

Darth Vader is the greatest villain in cinematic history....HANDS DOWN. Every single scene with him in it is perfect...literally. Will anyone EVER forget the opening scene of Episode IV, when Vader enters the blown out blast door & surveys the dead rebels. I think not. That scene was burned into my head at 7 years old & it remains my favorite of all time. There should be a whole series of episodes of no one, but Vader.
I cannot agree more with you. I was 7 years old when I went to see SW with my dad (rip). I think the age minimum was 10. I pretty much scared out shit when seing that first Darth Vader scene and I went down hiding behind the row of chairs in front of me every time during that film when Darth Vader emerged, so my very first SW experience was pretty much jumping on and off my seat.
To me Darth Vader ONLY falls short to the Joker, but it's really tight. As for the rest, i agree 100%, he's so iconic that even people who've never seen Star Wars know who he is and know his lines. He's that huge
My first introduction to Star Wars was in 2002 in Nigeria. I was 8 years old and randomly skipping channels on cable TV when I stumbled on A New Hope airing. Back then, lots of old American movies would air on local cable for free. I had no idea what it was but teh sci-fi look instantly hooked me as a little boy! I watched teh entire thing that afternoon. Thankfully, the power didn't go out as it tends to in Nigeria and from that day, I became a Star Wars fan🤩🤩 Fortunately, the week after that, I saw Empire Strikes back on the same channel at the same hour! Turns out, the original trilogy was being aired for free that week. Truly, it was pire chance but wonderful that it happened.

Ozzle was overconfident underqualified and apathetic. As we all know Apathy is death. He got his high possession due to money and a long family history of republic officers from the core. He even believed he was the true owner of Death squadron when everyone knew it was Vader’s fleet and Ozzle was just a figurehead. Piett on the other hand earned his position through hard work and loyalty. He came from a poor planet in the mid rim I think. He was so well known Vader hand picked him to captain the Devastator then later Executor after it was built and was one of the only officers Vader never killed. Among those in the Imperial Navy Piett earned the title “The man so valuable even Darth Vader couldn’t kill him.”

Darth Vader is the greatest villain in cinematic history....HANDS DOWN. Every single scene with him in it is perfect...literally. Will anyone EVER forget the opening scene of Episode IV, when Vader enters the blown out blast door & surveys the dead rebels. I think not. That scene was burned into my head at 7 years old & it remains my favorite of all time. There should be a whole series of episodes of no one, but Vader.
I cannot agree more with you. I was 7 years old when I went to see SW with my dad (rip). I think the age minimum was 10. I pretty much scared out shit when seing that first Darth Vader scene and I went down hiding behind the row of chairs in front of me every time during that film when Darth Vader emerged, so my very first SW experience was pretty much jumping on and off my seat.
To me Darth Vader ONLY falls short to the Joker, but it's really tight. As for the rest, i agree 100%, he's so iconic that even people who've never seen Star Wars know who he is and know his lines. He's that huge

My first introduction to Star Wars was in 2002 in Nigeria. I was 8 years old and randomly skipping channels on cable TV when I stumbled on A New Hope airing. Back then, lots of old American movies would air on local cable for free. I had no idea what it was but teh sci-fi look instantly hooked me as a little boy! I watched teh entire thing that afternoon. Thankfully, the power didn't go out as it tends to in Nigeria and from that day, I became a Star Wars fan🤩🤩 Fortunately, the week after that, I saw Empire Strikes back on the same channel at the same hour! Turns out, the original trilogy was being aired for free that week. Truly, it was pire chance but wonderful that it happened.
R.I.P David Prowse, I’ve never been a Star Wars fan but I will always enjoy David Prowse as Darth Vader and James Earl Jones as the voice of Darth Vader. May the force be with you David Prowse and remember you don’t know the power of the dark side.
