Alexander Fleming was born in Darvel , Ayrshire.
My dog once had a long pee on the sign post showing where he was born.
I tried to explain the significance of Fleming's achievement. My dog couldn't care less. He was a proud dog and had no time for human history.
As much as I thank Fleming for his contribution to human history. I've got to support my dog and have his back .

A few little things: Scottish gaelic is actually pronounced galic, gay is Irish, ga is Scottish.
Perth, or rather, Scone (pronounced Scoon) was also the Capital for a fair bit of the Medieval period, and is where Robert the Bruce, along with many other kings, was crowned. He forgot to actually mention, in case it wasn't obvious, that Golf and Whiskey are also Scottish inventions. Sorry Irish.

Hey Sam, you forgot a few thins about Scotland. Brave was set in Scotland and the actress who plays Merida is Scottish. Kelly McDonald. Also, both Merida and Fergus are redheads. And Nova Scotia was claimed by Scotland. There are also lords and ladies. I have a royal proclamation saying that I am one and in a Scottish forest there's a plot of land which is my own. The Sctos plant trees for these lords and ladies on the land which is very symbolic. Also, archery is played at the highland games. They also have various festivals in Scotland such as sahame and hogmonae. Also, I knew that Gordon Ramsay is Scottish. But he doesn't have the accent, he sounds British because he moved to England as a child. Hey, there's an idea for a new video. Also, I'm a huge fan of the Disney Pixar movie Brave and I'd love to hear a hundred and one facts about it. Also, keep on rolling out the videos, love learning new stuff.

I don't know how you could have gotten more in, great job! I love all you shared. And I learned a lot! But ... Scotland at one point had the highest literacy rate in the world, because the church refused to let anyone except clergy read latin and interpret the Bible, so Scotland set up schooling for EVERY child and taught them English and Latin (they originally spoke Gaelic) so that every person in Scotland could read all three languages ... and Scotland still today enjoys one of the highest literacy rates in the world. Also, you mentioned the clearances, but not very well, when England (yep the Scots hate the English) ... when England started shipping the more troublesome Scots overseas to North America and to Australia, then England imported sheep to Scotland and then England set up more landholds where one wealthy person "owned" the land and made all the remaining Scots (left behind after the clearances), and England burned the homes of the people left behind so that all of those folks then became "tenants" or sort of "employees" of the Laird. All that done by England in order to stop the Scots from fighting against the English ... bah humbug!
And ... you don't mention that England "stole" the rubber/tire industry from Scotland, and prevented the Scots people from working in the new English tire-producing plants (John Dunlop, a Scotsman, started that industry) ... and you don't mention that it was a Scotsman who engineered and designed wind turbines in Scotland, and it was Scots who built those turbines and who owned the land, but that the English then took over that wind industry and simply took the land from the Scots and routed all electricity to the south, to England, and then England SOLD it back to Scotland, and they are still doing that today. And how about Glencoe? And how about James Watt and his advances with electricty? And what about the nuclear plant in Scotland that the Scots voted NOT to have but the English Parliament built it in Scotland anyway. Yikes, so much, eh? :-) You should write a book! Thank you very much, great video.

Scottish club Queens Park FC invented the Passing Game in Football which all the Scottish clubs quickly adopted....after some time a number of Scottish players went south and taught English players how to do it and eventually that became the game played all over the world today.

4:20 That engraving of Kenneth I is technically not Kenneth I, as before the early 20th century the history of the early scottish monarchy used a different numerical system, meaning Kenneth I technically would have been Kenneth II
And the king first documented as rex Scotia was not in fact Domnall mac Causantin but possibly his father Constantine I or his son Constantine II (ruled 900-943), in whose reign the term Alba began to be associated with the kings
    Other than that, smashing video

Edinburgh is the fake capital of Scotland, Glasgow is the real capital. The only reason that Edinburgh is the official capital is to steer tourists away from the true scotland

I especially love that theirs next to no risk of natural disasters. No volcanos, tornadoes, tsunamis, nothing. (norway might collapse but we'll manage)

Well, there are plenty of volcanoes, including two in the middle of the capital, thankfully all extinct! However, thanks to climate change, flooding has become the main problem.
