- Anne Lambert, who played Miranda, the girl who disappeared at Hanging Rock (1975 film called Picnic at Hanging Rock) returned on 23 February 2014 to speak to concerned environmentalists, regional residents and visitors at a Respect the Rock activism day. We can hear the emotion in her voice as she speaks of the memory of her first time here and her feelings about the rock, time and place. People who live near the rock are worried about development plans announced by the Liberal Government which would change the natural beauty of this place and alienate it from ordinary people and encourage over-use which would threaten the many native animals and plants that enjoy this beautiful and mysterious place.
Amazing that her voice sounds exactly the same. Great to see her looking so well. Give your support to her cause.
How wonderful....she speaks with such eloquence. We do care....even those of us thousands of miles away.
Anne was in my class in grade 5. She stood out as being a special person then, and it is good to she still is...

Almost 26 years, I have delighted with the magical movie. "Picnic at the HR" is one of the best films ever made, and Peter Weir is my favorite director who has had an impact on my life and work. Watch out for this beautiful and magical landscape and nature, and receive support from the Zagreb/Croatia - Europe!
Oh! She still looks so beautiful at her 60s...I saw her acting in the famous 1975 film, and felt in love with her, so far...

I remember Picnic at Hanging Rock as the first cinematic representation of womanhood I was exposed to as a young man. It was a beautiful film. I hope that beautiful place is taken care of well.
