It's great to watch this now in 2023, after seeing him last night in the 3 Arena, with nearly 8000 people singing along to his songs, twenty years later. All his worries that it would never last, that he'd had his one shot back then, that he'd missed his change to 'nail it' as he said, all the insecurity. He did nail it. And more than record sales or critical acclaim. He held an audience of every kind of Dublin people in his hand last night, they loved him.
its amazing watching this in 2019.. how far he has come .. he is a legend in his own lifetime
went to first damo gig last saturday and through a friend of a friend got told there may be a chance to meet him and have a quick photo although i wasn’t counting on it, ten minutes after the gig we were back stage chatting to his band then along came damo he obliged us with some photos then invited us to the pub we ended up back at hotel drinking and laughing til 3 in the morning, he is an incredible human being , it’s a night i’ll never forget x
I just recently came across this amazing artist. I first heard Sinead O'Connor's version of It's All Good, not realising Damien actually wrote it. This is a song for the ages.
Wow, what a fantastic family, no wonder he grew to be such a solid lad.
Absolute Irish legend 💚
Some of the best things to happen in my life was coming across this man and his music. My beloved Mum’s maiden name is Dempsey as well. Will always remember and cherish my family roots. Damien always gives me hope. ☘️💚x

I remember seeing him play at the International bar in 95 -alongside Glen Hansard, Paddy Casey, Mark Dignam, Declan O`Rourke and Mundy . Magical moments spent at Dave Murphy`s songwriter evenings. Love the bit when Glen says hi at the record release.
