- I started running at 40 years old. I identify as a Midlife Runner. I am just as obsessed at improving my speed and getting faster as a high school kid in cross country. I love talking to other midlife runners who have accomplished what I feel to be significant accomplishments. Here are the promised links to AllHeartRC and to the EPIC Sub 3 video that is certain to bring you to tears.

Evan and Cole’s Sub 3: • 2024 Ventura Marathon ...
I also just like to talk to people in general. I recently talked with Joshua Hubbard on his sub 3 quest and so will post that video likely in the coming week or two. I am also going to do a Coach's corner of sorts with my coach Matt Fox from Sweatelite on the difference between marathon training and speed training. This is relevant as I enter the big marathon portion block on my road to the Marine Corp Marathon.
If you are reading this and you are fond of these interviews, please let me know who else you would like me to talk.
I do weekly recap videos of my training along with other exclusive content - it does help support the channel so if you'd like to join you can do it here.

Great interview with MK! Big shoutout to the entire @allheartrc !
Seen his channel before , it's great to watch . You dont publish these as podcast do you? (not sure of the added cost to you if there is any) just need to pop out for my 8 mile walk (Injury recovery) and would have been nice to pop the buds in and listen to a couple of guys chat about running (as if we were on a chilled long run), if not will catch it later in the week as we have plans this bank holiday weekend (bank holidays are a Brit thing look them up .. part of a better work/life balanve we have on this side of the pond)
Would be great if ML Runner has a podcast. Just play anything with this convo while on the go
I love the customization that you describe in your programs. Taking into account age, schedule, other commitments, running experience, goal(s), etc. I also love that you push the workouts beyond what your athletes probably think they are capable of. That’s how you pull the best out of us!
Great chat guys 👍🏼. I’m subscribed to Alvin Ma, who coach MK mentioned. I think i have seen some of his videos or his kids running marathons.
Hard truths. I’ve always only had one pace. I’m now working on adding some faster and some slower late in my running career. 😅
Thank you for sharing…….
Bringing value to the internet.

Great interview! Midlifers represent💪🏼!
❤❤❤ some mk
Really enjoyed this. Love MK’s approach to coaching and cool to see he gets to experience running with his kids.
Me too. Trying to be invested in my middle child. He’s in 6th grade and likes to run but I’m thinking maybe in high school
Regarding 5k/10k PRs during marathon training, I've used Polar running programs for many years now, and several times during training have set 1 mile, 5k, and 10k PRs either during training, or even on race day (and set a half marathon PR during one of my marathons (yeah, went out too fast, LOL, but still....)
Love Coach MK and what the crew does at @allheartrc
Just trying to keep up with those kids!!!
