    I'm about to put this hobby down for a while. Mine have been slowly dying off and I'm doing everything I can. It's been stressful more than enjoyable. The science behind it can get overwhelming and it's hard to find a proper guide. I just had to take out my biggest shrimp that has been laying eggs. I'm literally heartbroken.

      Did you make any large water changes? What's in the media bag? How long have the shrimp been in your tank for?

    Can I add salts to my shrimps tank ?

    • @shrimplycanadian
      @shrimplycanadian  Před 17 dny

      You can but is it for a specific reason? I've used aquarium salt in the past to treat Scutariella Japonica and sometimes issues with my fish.

      Alot of mine got the white ring of death to :,(

      @shrimplycanadian  Před 4 měsíci

      Sometimes there's not much you can do. I experienced the white ring with one of my Vampire Shrimp and that was sad. Acclimating is also very important as I've lost shrimp in the past when I first began due to improper acclimation. Now, I just drip acclimate them for at least 3 hours before adding them to my tanks.

    do you have Caridinia tanks ? crystal's, Taiwan bee's ect ?

    • @shrimplycanadian
      @shrimplycanadian  Před rokem

      Good to know. It's always good to wash your hands/arms before handling your shrimp tank as you could introduce unknown chemicals into the water. As for Caridinia shrimp, I am planning to get into it as that is a whole other side of shrimp keeping I wish to explore.
