Honestly, I probably would’ve watched the whole episode even if it was an hour long. The pace is perfect.
I like the legacy support as long as the extra deck is just for fusions. Once you get into all the links, xyz, synchro, pendulum and whatnot, it doesn't really become a game anymore. It's more of a two turn presentation. The back and forth is what makes it a game and fun. Also a video idea could be the evolving boss monsters in mini series. So like relinquished vs magician of black chaos, thousand eyes restrict vs dark magician of chaos and millennium thousand eyes restrict Vs Dark magician of chaos max

I reckon the new banlist balances the games a bit more. More card effect skill on show and careful deck building. Using cards from the era of the boss monster lets the deck be played the way it should, but limits options a bit.
These duels are suspenseful as hell though 👏

I used to play Guardians before and it is a VERY difficult deck to play. Guardian Eatos basically holds the whole deck together.
@@sebastienbusque2312dimensional barrier/macro could be pretty beneficial to the deck since you don't want monsters in the graveyard...but no dreadscythe without eatos in the graveyard, right?

I’ve been away from duel monsters for a minute. Your content although always enjoyable now is educational and maybe you don’t even need to explain the plays but the captions of your combos on a list works.
Example:
1.discard
2.search
3. Reveal
4. Special
5.etc.
It’s an idea but you guys are killing it regardless.

It is a great duel that shows off the Blue Eyes and Magician Girl archetypes in their pure self. I think the speed is good enough but maybe something like 1 copy of each card is more entertaining for this type of duel. So that it reduces the consistency and shows us older support like Burst Stream of Destruction and Silver's Cry. I know those are no longer optimal support for the deck but it is fun to see them being used again

Also I like the idea of the “power 9” ban list. But only adding them if the decks are super slow. Idk much about yugioh but I’ve heard it gets insanely fast with FTKs happening more frequently the later you get into it’s history.

This Boss Battle series has been an absolute joy to watch. You guys used Blue-eyes Ultimate, Blue-eyes Shining, Neo Blue-eyes Ultimate and now it is time for the Blue-eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon! Might as well go through all the Blue-eyes Boss monsters :P

Totally agree i like the arcatype specific upgrade with power 9 thrown in.... maybe few more in old decks like blue eyes when your using ulti as boss monster, but still sticking with relevent cards.... that being said my issue is im terrible at knowing teirs for mid teir stuff, Please Do New Harpies vs.... surprise me... 😅 as i said, terrible at knowing balanced matchups
I think thats the way to do it - older cards, some newer stuff, and 1 of each draw card. Though I will say, occasional fully anything goes boss monsters sounds fun. Some like Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, Dark Magician, and Harpies are just such a blast now.
Might I make the suggestion of taking these head to head anime character duels to EDO Pro? Over there, you can customize the rules, so you can draw for first turn, and apply other anime rules. They also have anime/manga accurate cards. For example, virus cannon goes from being a trap to the anime spell card!

Also, Susu, your last win was Obelisk vs. Raviel just last Monday. For another boss battle I suggest Gaia vs. Black Luster Soldier (ritual, no Envoy of Beginning)

I think you need to do a main protagonist gauntlet. Yugi vs jaden then winner vs yusei etc. upgrading their archetypes to make the matches more balanced

For these boss battles, it makes sense to use the legacy cards. They are a BOSS so should have all resources meant FOR them.

I love the energy they give us in these duels, I grew up on the old yugioh so the new yugioh is a wtf to me I get confused fast hoping when they get to the newer eras I can learn some stuff I just now started to understand the whole synchronization stuff.

Jen you always gotta run Blue Eyes Spirit in any deck that has a blue eyes!!!… that’s by far the best blue eyes card and shuts down graveyard affects, so plus able to tag out into azure or black rose at anytime!

A rematch between red nova and shooting star with the new support would be cool. And not supernova and majestic or quasar, but actually Red Nova dragon and shooting star dragon. It'd be cool to see what types of decks you could build to facilitate a win for two of the coolest, albeit mediocre of boss monsters.
I'd love to see Elemental Hero (Shining) Flame Wingman vs. Elemental Hero (Shining) Pheonix Enforcer.

I think it would be cool to try and do a boss battle with banned boss monsters. Can’t think of any that come to mind right now, but something like red eyes dark dragoon vs another banned monster. Obviously they would need to be craftable otherwise you couldn’t do it, but yeah.
