    Another fun vid, thanks! I love a mix of standard and high security locks on channels, it's a lot less intimidating as a new picker and informative too

      Thanks -- that was my plan. If you look at my earlier videos, I focused on unusual, higher security stuff. But almost all of the questions I got were about locks like this... so I decided to start mixing them in.

    It still amazes me when I see a lock fail so hard. Thanks again for the heads up.

      I'm with you. I know that I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but somehow I still can't wrap my mind around how some products can be so bad!

    Haha, the challenge is to make a 3min video with only 2 active pin stacks. Well done on that challenge ;-)

    Another padlock you could add to your laminated lock series would be the yale y125/50 padlock. I'm curious to see how it would stack up against the Stanley and Lockwood. Its been $15 and $20 depending where you get it.

    I'd love to see links to the pick sets you have, I'm getting by with a 9 pick GOSO set, but it's giving me some difficulty with a couple locks that should be really easy to open

    Do-it is the house brand of Do-it Best hardware stores. Some of their stuff is OK, this padlock not so much! lol

    Crap should've sent you my Lock-it that would've gotten worst. I bought it for around $8 at Home Depot got home put my tension in and it opened looked inside, no pins. On the Do-it they had 2 at this mom and pop hardware store and the other one the last 2 pins were all the way up so you'd still only be picking first 2 pins. Glad I could show it the opposite way by key pins being too long.

      +Randy Perkins Thanks again. It was at least nice to show the key pins being too long.

    What is that first lock called ? ON THE TOP LEFT

  • @pbsing
    @pbsing Před 7 lety +1

    Hey LPL you can probably open it, just by inserting a BOK wrench and lift those two pins. Still do not understand why any company would bother making such a cheap lock. The material and manufacturing cost out weigh the security of the lock itself.

      +pbsing probably a combination of not knowing and not caring.

    Dude I have a 50mm aq and have had it for a year now. I CANNOT PICK THIS GD THING!!! I’ve so many times almost just cut it open. I’m going to try for a little while longer but I’d I can’t get it by this weekend, it’s going to the grinder. It’s a 5 pin and seems there’s a pin way in the back that needs depressed like the end of the key or something.

      +Evan Chan I've seen a whole bunch of bad ones... Hard to select a king in China's dogfight for the bottom... But that golden lotus from video 193 is definitely a contender.
