I love your channel and this product seems great for someone who doesn't want any updront cost BUT this will end up costing wayyy more than than the other services for an independent. Where the other service providers have a yearly fee this company charges per transaction. So you'll end up paying them 2- 3 times as much as the other companies charge per year by the time you reach the 50 transaction marker and well over 2K by the time you get to 100 transactions. Thats a lot.
You're right, this platform is not right for everyone! However, for those notaries who are just getting into RON this is PERFECT!! They can test out adding RON to their business with no financial obligation to the platform! They are not required to only work on this platform, and once they get their RON business up and running they may make the choice to switch to another platform with annual fees that may cost them less in the long run, and that's just fine!
For a lot of people not having any upfront or ongoing out of pocket costs, having someone else collect payments, and having a hybrid platform that they can use for their own clients AND also have clients sent to them is exactly what they want and need! One size does not fit all, that's why it's great to have options! This is just another option for people who are interested in RON! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I just researched and found out my state Virginia offers remote Notary allows its commissioned notaries to perform electronic notarizations or remote notarizations with the DocVerify e-Notary platform, which started in 2007. Hi there @SigningAgentBasics!!! I recently became a Notary and I came across your channel while looking for material to pass the NSA test. I wasn't able to find much, but I took the test using the material on the National Notary Association's site and I passed! ***YAAAAYYY***... So, I watched your video and I was going to sign up to the site mentioned here, "Onenotary.com." Well, I was signing up and I read the terms and agreement and found the following paragraph, "You, as the Platform’s User, are either a Texas online notary public (“Online Notary”), or an individual other than an Online Notary (“Signer”). You may use the Platform only in connection with an online notarization. You must be over 18 to use the Platform."
So, my question is, being a Jerseyite, am I allowed to create an account with "Onenotary.com?"
Hi! OneNotary is not available for New Jersey online notaries YET! But they are quickly expanding into every state that has permanent RON legislation. When you sign up you will be notified when they are available in your state!

I just became commissioned and I am in the process of obtaining my initial supplies. Where to order my stamps from, do I need an embosser, or no? Hard cover or soft cover journal? What official companies to purchase from?

This is excellent. I didn't even think about this. Then looked it up and Colorado passed emergency legislation due to COVID. We can RON temporarily until 12/31/20. Then in 2021 the law becomes permanent.

Hi, I'm a newbie subscriber and your videos inspired me to pursue this industry as a signing agent; however, it's been a challenge to determine if there's a real market in my area, so please give me some information on determining that. I'm in Mobile, Al. Thank you!
There is ALWAYS a market for GOOD notaries public and GOOD signing agents! Are people buying homes in your area? Are people selling homes in your area? Are people refinancing homes in your area? Are people getting documents notarized in your area? If the answer to any of those questions is "yes" then there is a market in your area!
With that being said, there is no quick and easy way to "look and see" if there is a market. You can look on websites such as notarycafe.com to see if there are other signing agents in your area but that doesn't really tell you if they are good or bad or how much or how little work they do!

Very informative. I have a few questions. Ive paid for and received my digital certificate and eSeal though the NNA. Is your platform compatible with them? Is your platform compatible with Virginia's guidelines. Will you expand to accept more than a driver's license, like a passport, and I saw you mention that you'll create a pricing package for loan signings...any update to when that will happen? Last question, if signer has more than 1 document that requires a seal, what is the cut yhe RON will get? I see the signer pays an additional $6 per additional stamp. That you again for sharing this information. And, I love your hair!

I enjoyed your video, you are knowledgeable, concise and you made it interesting to watch; but, even though it is an advantage not to have to pay any fees upfront, the company is asking for the notary to bring the first 100 clients, before we get assigned any clients directly from One Notary. At this initial stage we will be paid $15 per notarization but One Notary will charge $31 to my first 100 clients. I do understand that the advantages of the platform have a price, but it looks to me that for those first 100 clients x $16 I will be paying $1,600 to One Notary, which is a lot more than the other platforms you mentioned on this video, and then after that, the company will pay me $6 per notarization and will keep $25 for when they provide the clients. Conclusion: I will do my numbers with the other companies. You might still be the best option, but I don’t know yet.

Dang it, this platform is NOT available for the State of Missouri as of yet...
At best I’ve heard it cost 600 to 1000 to be a notary , what would be the investment all together to add tour training to my start up cost. Knowing you yourself cannot certify me. I suppose the benefit from your course pertains to being more profitable and perhaps your traction efforts are targeted towards those who have been certified and looking for ways to earn on a top level right?
I became a notary as it was requirement for my employer for a very short time. After it was no long a requirement I decided to continue recording my commission anyways. I've taken a course for traveling signing agents but got cold feet because I made a mistake on a car title and it scared me. So I rarely notarize anything. I am ready to face my fears :). How can I start small or simple so that I gain the confidence I need?

GREAT ❤ Information video!! I just have a couple of extra questions,
1. Can we sign up before we apply for the digital certificate? or do we have to wait? I'm in Tennessee State department said since were in a state of emergency all notaries in the state can preform RON we just need to obtain a digital platform certificate, 2. can we get it through this company, or, just.get it through the NNA program?

I'm in Colorado and we have temporary permission to do remote online notarizations. So that means I can't use OneNotary? That confuses me, because I think I can use DocVerify. Also, the rule for remote notaries in Colorado is that both the notary and the signer have to be physically located in Colorado at the time of the notarization. That would seem to put a pretty big limit on the number of remote notarizations I can perform. But at the same time, that makes OneNotary more attractive than other platforms since I'm not paying a monthly fee. RON is so confusing sometimes!
OneNotary is only rolling out to states with permanent RON legislation.

If NC has passed legislation making RON legal in your state, yes. OneNotary is currently only available to Texas online notataries, but they will expand into other states soon!

Hi, I am already an online remote notary (RON) for the state of Florida. I am looking to sign up on OneNotary. I have not signed any documents before and I am very to this. Once I sign up on ONeNotary, how does it work to start getting documents and being a notary? Also, where is the best place to get an Electronic Notary Seal? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a question regarding the Digital stamp. I ordered mine today. I am also in Texas but the digital stamp they provided is circular as opposed to rectangular. I am fairly certain it is just as legal but wanted to check.
Check the TX SOS website for the rules regarding the notary stamp. As long as your digital stamp meets those requirements you'll be fine!

What if the person pays for 1 notary stamp but need two or three? Do they have to resubmit the other pages or will the dollar amount to be charged to their card increase?
The final price is determined by the actual number of notary stamps that were actually used. The signer will be able to see the final price before the notarization is completed.

What platform is everyone using in New Jersey? Although my state hasn't signed on to the RON legislation, it's completely legal to do virtual notarial services here. Help!
Most platforms don't operate in states that don't have permanent RON legislation. You need to see what options your state allows in their temporary order for RON.

Hi. Not sure if I understood this part. So you are saying one notary does not pay anything until after 100 notary jobs. Or you still charge a fee to the clients and get paid that way? Also if you can notarize in any state, does that still mean you cant use the platform until online notary is legal in the state you reside in or is that only for the clients for their state to recognize online notary as legal?

On the OneNotary platform the notary does not pay anything. The notary does get paid for every single notarization they do, starting with their very first notarization. OneNotary collects the payment from the signer and then OneNotary pays the notary their portion of that payment. The $31 fee the signer pays is split between the notary and the OneNotary platform.
You start off only doing notarizations for your own clients that you bring to the OneNotary platform. The more notarizations you do the more of the $31 signer paid fee you get as the notary - you will get paid $15 per notarization initially, then once you have completed 50 notarizations you will get paid $17 per notarization, then once you have completed 200 notarizations you will get paid $18 per notarization. This is again payment for your own clients that you bring to the platform.
After you do 100 notarizations for your own clients you can continue to bring your own clients to the platform and get paid as listed above. AND you can also start doing notarizations for clients that OneNotary gives you. You will get paid $6 for each notarization you do for signers that OneNotary brought to you.
Remote Online Notarization has to be legal in your state and you have to be a commissioned online notary to use the OneNotary platform.
The document will be recognized as legal in any state even if that state does not currently allow online notarization.
Can you provide some guidance on how to obtain an eNotary Seal and Digital Certificate? I looked into Identrust and got a little confused.
