- A couple of weeks into seeding season and things are rolling right along. Bob and Leg Arms (Scott) are burning through the acres with the BIG BUD tractors and Hollywood (Nick) is trying to spray ahead on spring wheat ground while finishing the pea post plant spray.
Won't be long and spring wheat will be wrapped up and we'll jump into chick peas!

There is TV executives probably weeping tears of shame at the way a Montana family is showing them how to portray a snapshot of American farming life. Welker Farms take a bow. You are just raising the bar for documentary tv with editing and photography.
T.V. execs are smart enough to get behind projects like this
If TV got a hold of this they'd ruin it like all the other scripted reality garbage they claim is "real life struggles".
@@morkorson4196 exactly.
We appreciate the kind words 👍
i guess I am pretty randomly asking but do anyone know of a good place to stream newly released tv shows online ?
Today’s stars of the video is your Dad & Cobey” what a fantastic team together. Warms my heart to see “ Man and his dog” working together. Thanks for sharing.
I love the dog in the driver seat that is priceless
Jeffrey Hamilton dogs are priceless
He may have been the "goodest" boy that day! Although my dog Winston might disagree.
If Coby was driving does that mean Bob was sitting by the fender
I thought our dog was cool sitting on the tractors driver's seat but Coby is actually seeding
@@SlipShodBob 🤪👍
The connection you have with your dog, family and God are a testament to the quality of people that the Welker family is.
You sir, are a Great Man.
Thank you for those kind words, Blessings
Boy coby has the ultimate dogs life
Unlimited yard to run in
Big ol tractor fender to survey his domain from
And even helps with planting
What a great dog
Give him a pat on the head for me
I just scratched his belly for you. He said thank you. :)
Don't you just love them, life would be so much poorer without. Collies rule.
The dog driving the tractor was awesome. Love how he rides on the fender!😄
I grew up east of Millennial Farmer (about 75-100 miles), and the farmers around Dad's always said "if you can't grow rocks, you can't grow crops"! So I'm very familiar with picking rocks!
Enjoyed hearing from Dad and and his mate Coby. 👍
Cool that your dad is vlogging
I liked the one where Lag arms was saying good you run that sprayer and you hit a power pole, lol😂
I can say Minnesota has rocks. I work for a tiling company and today we had to use a dozer to push a rock outta the way because the backhoe couldn't move it
"I'm gonna take this old carcass back to the barn. The tractor is staying in the field." Classical and funny.😆😆😆😆😆😆
To answer Bob's question about field shape. Every farmer in Saskatchewan that farms the north and south quarter on the same side of a section.
Great video. Bob is a National Treasure!
a dog is truly a mans best friend great video good luck with planting be safe
I’m from Saskatchewan. All of our fields resembled our provincial flag. Love it
👍😁
Love the Big Buds, Bob as a Kid spent many hours on a 4020 with no cab and just the umbrella to.
I'm amazed how well these old tractors hold up today after decades of usage.
You should have off road bike hanging behind the tractor for emergency moves to help someone else !
“Old Guy On A Old Girl” 😂
Just what i was thinking i hope his wife doesn't watch these or he may be sleeping in that tractor for a night or 2
I wish you all a succsessful planting season, may you reap the harvest
👍
Coby is the ultimate farm hand!
Coby just loves it on the tractor
sherlock I think he likes hang time with the top dogg. These folks are great
Nick you can get fine screen / filters for your main hose that goes to sprayer booms. that way u only need to clean out one filter ... God bless !!
Seen some of your videos, seen the Bible verse. I think you should continue to do that because you probably showed the Lords love to someone you don't know. This channel is one of my favorites now. ;)
Thank you
Blessings
Spent many days of my youth walking along a hay wagon pulled by an old Farmall picking rocks. The unloading was manual as well. But nobody farmed much more than a section back then:)
Awesome aerial footage; and though thinking that Coby was pretty unfazed by the drone flying so close by, i quickly realized that with his proximity to the tractor engine, the drone the least of his worries....fantastic video folks....
Coby in Command or in other words TOP DOG 💪💪😂
Great to see the dog driving the tractor
You folks are the best................Rocks have babies every year
All I wanted to say was this; PUPPY!!!
awesome video! keep feeding the world!
👍
love that rock picker!
Thanks for a great video Bob.
👍
Wow slippery mess but you caught it 😉 colby is one fine dog
Honestly I think the dog did a great job running the planter. He could use some work on his turns but all and all he did pretty well. 😂😂😂
That rock picker is neat, lol. Crush it and use on your lots...
Those old Moline's had tough steering. We had a wide front UB with a home made wide front. We called it crowbar steering because it seemed like you needed a crowbar to turn it.
Ah, yeah, Coby driving the tractor. That's awesome! I just hope he doesn't tangle with a badger. We had them on the farm and were real mean and dangerous!. Thanks again for another great video, and showing Coby working hard!!!
Love the rock picking. Never seen that before. could you explain that machine more. And dad has the best partner. Never boring with fur around.
Marc Dupont I know that millennial farmer has a video explaining his rock picker which is a similar tool. Very informative
Riding along with Bob Welker was amazing. I remember walking with my dad, listening to the stories. First part of the video was very emotional for me. Thank You.
👍
I think that your boys are going to be so fortunate someday to be able to watch these videos of your father. I wish I had some of my dad while he ran his blade.
My Dad would say those old tractors had "arm strong" power steering. And our old trucks had 2 55 air conditioning.
My Father and Gandpa would say "it turns as good as your breakfast was"... My Gandpa when was more than 80 old have arms to ashame a lot of gym boys.
My Dad and Uncle were 'Farm Tough", raised on the family farm in WA, both worked hard well into their 80's. I don't think I beat either of them in an arm wrestling contest either. Now that my Dad is 96, I might be able to win, but could I really brag about it?
Thank your dad and the dog loved it thanks
👍
I wanna hear more of the Old-school stories of your dad
Be a farmer they said.....it'll be fun they said.....until everything blows up and people you don't even know seem to think you owe them money.
I like thad dog " drives a tractor" :)
That's funny with Coby driving..
Love when senior is on videos. Interesting and engaging contributions..
The evolution of farm machinery that your pop has been witness too in his lifetime is amazing. Then one day you want to start making CZcams videos of the farm and dad’s probably looking at you like you’ve got two heads. Now you’ve got him getting footage for you all on his own. Hat’s off to him for keeping an open mind, welcoming change and embracing the technology.
3:45 i hope i never get to see that in real life XD. Awesome dogs!!!
Never sprayed Spartan but have sprayed Sharpen on peas. We found if we up the gals/acre of water works much better. We now spray 15 gal/acre.
The older the violin, the sweeter the music. Thanks fella's for the video.
👍
To the dad of the farm Bob, Back in the mid to early 90's when i was a kid we farmed 120 acres with a Minneapolis moline with a narrow front end no power steering and it would almost break your arm off if you hit a rock or rut. but still love seeing the old Minneapolis back up and running.
Always hyped to watch you videos.👌🏻👌🏻😊
The good old plowing and getting ready for planting. Just brings me back guys. Farming just takes a lot of time to get things ready to plant.
When the Big Brute broke down, that would have been a great time to do an "Et tu, Brute?" lol
Ha ha!
Colby, you are one very cool dude! When he shows up in drone footage you know which Bud Bob is in.
The music at 15:30 is so good. Love that it shows up quite often in Welker videos.
Welker Farms keeps America going!!!
I smile every time I think of the size of your acreage Bob. Up here in Nova Scotia, Canada there are some good size farms (not to your standards of course... maybe 100 acres) but in my youth, we were so happy to have a plot 30 x 60 feet to plant a full rounded garden for the winter stores. LOL You have such a nice family. When I went through Montana a couple of times back in the late 80's and early 90's, this ol' preacher man would have stopped by to shake your hand, had I known about you then. You can be mighty proud of your family... and hey, love that dog... Mine is afraid of our 4-wheeler but is my constant companion. Blessings and keep on giving me joy!
I know a preacher from Nova Scotia. Went to Bible College in Saskatchewan with him.
Love the dog driving!! Great dog...
love the way that dog sits on the arch as to say my dads tractor love
Is Coby hourly or does he get a percentage annually for his time seeding?
Edit: sorry that was rude to pry into Cobys financials
ya being the CEO i think he pays himself pretty well..just his expertise driving and riding on the big Bud warrants six figures i would think!
He be pulling in those dollars
@@svenvolwater5473 Puppo bucks.
All the badgers Colby can catch...
I recon he can earn a badger an hour on a good day.😁
I hope that you are gathering those rocks into one place where after a few years you can bring a portable crusher in to turn them into some very valuable good gravel!!
All feilds represent Colorado
😁👍
You guys (and Coby) are so cool!
You guys are blessed to have a dad like that. He's soo good on camera, he's a pro. Really adds to the vids. . Last scene with hose fitting in his hand and huge grin is epic.
We need more stories from Bob about the old days!
Are you going to devlope Little Montana like a Little America 😁
👍
Get them boys a Patriot sprayer CaseIH!
That rock picker is a Beast!!
I took those screens off years ago... I have filters after each ball valve, easier to clean that one filter per shutoff then 70 nozzle screens.
WOW, those are some rocks....
Always have loved picking rocks. Probably too old now. Am retired, some aches and pains, and love watching your videos.
Hey guys love watching ur farming big fields ur family is great I'm 67 yrs. Old never seen big farm until I started playing farmsimulater I like watching ur dad an ur dogs I'm 67 yrs old would love to ride a big bud lol maybe one day I can afford a hat an a jacket with hoodie ur family is great
There is a reason we never change hydraulic oil. It’s because every so often you have blow out and it gets changed for you. I think it’s cute to some manufacturers put little bottles on the on the hookups to catch a few drops. But the main supply line blows next to it and blows 20 to 30 gallons on the ground in about three seconds.
Ha Ha we used to pick rocks by hand. You got it easy. lol
Love the videos with your dad.
👍
God bless you guys! Hope y’all are doing well! Thanks for all y’all do. Y’all are amazing!!!!
Just love Coby!
Oh please, I am a farmer from Minnesota and we found a rock the size of your can - am.
Your dad is still “on the top of the world”. 👍👍
Daddy Welker is a gem
I love when your father reminisces. Please have him do more. Great videos and channel.
One other comment. Nick the Lord was watching out for you in the Big Brute. The steering failed in the field not on the road.
Hey lads once again Coby steals the show, I know everyone else has a minor part in this show but Coby gets my vote every time..Stay Safe
Coby...take a bow wow.👍
Colby was driving the BUD LOL 😂😆😂😆
These drone shots really make me in awe of your area you farm so beautiful but also bare and rough
“Im gonna take this old carcass to the barn, tractor will stay in the field” 😂😂 what a gem, love these guys!
Your dog is so cute😍
Love that big brute man .
Gotta love the segments when ur dad vlogs.
Thanks for the video guys, Bob I love those Big Buds that was neat the dog in the driver’s seat. Nick hope you got the Brute going 👍
Bob, Great to see You on camera, Hope all is going well for Welker Farms, God Bless and Protect all of You.
Thank you 👍
you guys should get an additive for your Round-up sprayer that can neutralize hydraulic fluid in the ground or those pea might taste a bit spicy in that area ;)
You Guys are the best!!!
That rock picker takes a beating.
LOL I remember tying my Aunt's umbrella on to Grandpas Ferguson TO-30! She was not happy when she found out
Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
I glad your pops is doing vlogs too :) its so nice to see its multi generational.
Love that rock picker old and works like gold!!
We have a field that the irrigation goes across a public dirt road. Most of our fields are circle with occasional odd ball fields. We farm peanuts and cotton in Florida.
