Man! You have it all!😊 where’s the Jacuzzi?… 😂
Love that AeroPress go! Nothing beats fresh coffee in the backcountry!
Anyone interested in the Ignik Firecan should know that it does NOT come with lava rocks. Those are an "optional" accessory adding to the cost. I might also thrown in while I'm at it that the Husky brand of storage totes at Home Depot is probably a far cheaper option for the overpriced Gregory totes. This video has the appearance of being motivated by containing everything that the creator/influencer has affiliate links for.
Love this thank you for the review!
awesome set up for a successful car camping trip!
I bought two of the ridge runner overlanding style totes for my car camping gear lol....i think they were like 85 a piece ....so dont feel bad about those Gregory totes lol
Car fridge is a game changer. Sometimes I'll take it along for work during extremely hot Summer days. Set it to freeze and have otter pops for the crew 😆I dig the mini propane tank.
Yes! I love that!
Great video Devin indoors
Keep up the good work, Devin
What manual coffee grinder were you using?
Firebox stove has the best outdoor cooking pans in the market 😁 I'm sure the jet boil is nice but firebox is amazing 🤩
Yes, the firebox cookware is 🔥🔥🔥
I love that you show off Zenbivy’s sleep system on different pads.
I really want to try the duo that Eric and his wife took out about a year ago, but with my green EXPED 15 mat
It’s a very flexible sleep system!
We’ll see, because I’m going to get Zen’s Duo system and from what I can tell it will fit on thicker pads that they have but no one has shown, pads like EXPED.
I've used the double bed on an EXPED Megamat 10 Duo - Long/Wide/Double
Yes alot for a gear tote but being waterproof might be great option for rafting trips?
Hadn’t thought about that, but definitely an option.
If you’re going to spend that much you might as well spend a little more and get a bomb proof Pelican case.
Thoughts on the Gregory gear box?
I’m liking it a lot. I went ahead and got it with some of my REI dividend so I justified the cost a bit that way. Ha
Who makes the table you showed? It’s not in your gear list.
It was from Moosejaw. Once dicks bought them the table went away. Sorry. Tried to link closest option.
Even though I don't camp like you, I am curious to see how you pack for your family camping trips with your wife, kids, and dog. I don't recall seeing anything beside the Outback. What's the magic trick?
As in you want to see how it’s all packed into my car?
@BackcountryExposure
Yes, I find your gear choices very interesting. However, I don't know how you manage to pack everything into your Outback.
@@canoenut shoot me an email and I’ll take some photos this coming week as we’re headed out again. We have a VW Atlas and a Jeep Compass. Happy to share photos of everything packed for you to see.

Devin, will you show off the kilos gear chair, maybe in a smaller video?
At some point yes.
Honest, you kinda did and I forgot. My bad. Thanks Devin!
PS: why is new ignik better than old ignik (because I own the 1st gen, lol).
Like: is it really?!?!?! 😉
My wife says she cannot take someone wearing a sun hoodie & talking about latte's seriously.
😂😂😂
Fridge: $450. Power bank: $1,000. So, for $1,500, I think I'll just grab a 20 lb sack of ice and nice rotomold cooler. My home fridge setup didn't cost $1,500. 5lb propane tanks are $50 ... the Ignik one here is $130. This entire gear set is nothing but ultra-premium stuff. I thought the ultra light backpacking gear was expensive. This car camping stuff is next level outrageous. Could almost just buy a decent used RV with the money saved ... and those have fridges, counters, tables, propane, etc. built in.
Do what works for you. I love having the fridge, but it’s not required.
You can get a small electric cooler for about $100 give or take.
Agreed. Love me some car camping but this gear list should be what would Cher from Clueless take camping.
We live in a world where people buy $3000 rooftop tents and use them twice a year. While some of the stuff he listed is a little bit expensive, I wouldn't call it outrageous.
I don't think there's a wrong or right way to be comfortable camping. If it enhances your personal experience and you can afford it, go for it, I say.
I still couldn't justify a rooftop tent, though. Those are so expensive. xD
I use my aeropress every day
In the world of overlanding/car camping...that's a cheap box!
Oh yeah some of those Aluboxes and stuff are pricey!
Latte? You want a pedicure too? Simple weekend trip? You couldn't make it more complicated! Your entire set up is ridiculous! Why not save all the money and stay at home for comfort and ambience? Or man up and embrace the dirt and smoke and adventure of being OUTSIDE?!
😂😂😂 okay
@@BackcountryExposure Hi Devin! I've watched your videos for a while. You're a good guy. I appreciate you left your job to do this channel full time. I've seen you go backpacking. I know you get lots of gear and then sell lots of it later. You put ridiculous videos like this out there and say you want comments. But your only response was "okay"? I've been taking my family camping for years. You've definitely complicated it with a video like this. I expected a better response from you. I'll keep watching. Because you're a good guy😉
I do genuinely appreciate you watching. I reacted the way I did though when words/phrases like "ridiculous" and "man up" are used. Especially when I said in there's 100 different ways to go about camping from the car. I think it's kind of silly to tell someone to man up with their approach to spending time outside. We're all going to do things a little bit different, and that's okay. 😁
Personally, I don't feel like this is complicated, others may think so and want more simplicity. Which is totally fine. Your initial comment just came across with an aggressive tone, and pointing fingers. So that's why I replied with Okay.
Again, thanks for watching, even if we disagree. 😁
@@BackcountryExposure guys like to take a poke at one another. That's what I did. Thanks for your second response! You have to admit bro, buying all that stuff; chargers and refrigerators for a simple weekend trip is overkill. Like the other comment about buying a camper😂With the wife and kids, I can see trying to make them comfortable, so they can enjoy "roughing it". I said man up because smoke comes with campfires and getting dirty is to be expected on a camping trip. 👊🏻
