It's obvious how much Djinn enjoyed the 'smorgasbug' you had prepared for him. He certainly seems to enjoy eating live insects you gave him more than the manufactured treats which came with the calendar. I think it's safe to say your idea was a hit with Djinn.

Hello my fellow fox cousin!!
I ordered 10000 live meal worms a month for my 2 fennecs..they ate these with uncooked veggies and a little fruit twice a day..they would also get frozen fuxzies from time to time..they lived to be 12 and 13..were very.healtjy and wonderful pets..not for everyone though. We had tile floors thruout the.house so if they had an accident it was easy to take care of

The fennec, the prince of sand, is found in abundance in the vast Algerian desert. During my military service in Algeria, his movements worried me a lot. My shift was not on guard at night. In the summer, the heat was intense. They went out at night to search for prey, but they protect against scorpions and poisonous snakes.
They are great little hunters and so well adapted to the hot desert. The prince of sand is great name. Thank you for sharing your story.

I have a question, if we don't got living insects, do we feed them something else like fruits or is still important for them to eat the insects
Insects are very important for them, because fennecs are desert animals and that's the food they can eat in nature. If you can't feed them alive, you can maybe buy them frozen or freeze dried online. Fruit is not a good replacement because of the high amount of sugar. The best diet is low-fat meat (like chicken breast) and insects. Hope this answers your question
