- I mostly explain the 12 principles of animation and how to use the principles in Mine Imator to become a better animator! Follow ALL of them and you can easily become a professional!
To anyone arguing that about the tips making you a "pro", the described principles were set by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston and have been the standard rules of animation worldwide ever since.
If you wanna learn more about the 12 principles of animation, see the tutorials made by Alan Becker, who's also the author of Animation vs Animator: • 1. Squash & Stretch - ...
I hope this was helpful and thank you for watching!!

No matter your skill level as an animator, it's always good to check in on videos like these to ensure you're not losing your touch.
Before 2 years, i download Mine-imator.
I don't know how to make animation with it. After 1 year/ When 2019 i always find the best tutor for me. And Now..
I found the best tutor for me.
Thx SharpWind For all your tutorial video.
big thanks for the "Arcs" tip!
My god.. this is awesome dude. Im new to animating and really want to animate. This is gonna help so so much.
I think this is my first video know your channel Sharp😄
Really great tutorial😆
man tips how to parent perfectly thnks
tbh first video of sharpwind i watched, damn... recommendations
8:18 "Even lovely innocent girls"
That girl's smile doesn't look lovely or innocent though...
Psycho girl flashbacks
This is a great video introductory for beginner Mine-imator animators, superb job!
It would be great if more starting users could see this video though.
What an honor! xD
thanks
nice job yourself, i love your work :P
~SharpWind
SKIBBZ....
Thanks!, This Is So Helping Me In Animating 😊
Thanks for the tips ill be sure to use them
Thanks For the Arcs motion
professional mine imator? mkay lets watch
the arch one. FINNALY i knew i was missing something XD
Very helpful!
thanks so much sharp
Cool, love it
Arcs is what i've been trying to do. thinking how u did dem smooth animations. Finally know how to do that
you can "layer down" a LOT of motion this way
even at individual bodyparts to make the movement smoother
you can even layer it down to X Y AND Z (making 3 folders)
if you wanna learn more, check out our "Overlapping Action" tutorial (the 3rd most recently posted i think)
~SharpWind
حسن محمد
thank you so much
you are the best
the best tips is #7 Arcs
They're not tips, they're written rules in animation, i didnt make this stuff up
~SharpWind
mine imator updated
thanks for the tips pal
i wish one day i will be a pro in mine imator like you
practice makes perfect!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ARCS ;-;
Quick note: Squash and Stretch looks nice when you use it for something like Slime (the mob when it is moving) or Slime Blocks.
Actually, its meant to be used on everything as it gains speed, but slimy/bouncy objects are that much more exaggerated
(The more solid it is, the less its deforming)
@@SharpWind I know, But it can also be used on stuff related with Slime.
Then its not squash and stretch, as that refers to deformation according to the speed an object has (an early form of motion blur lol)
But i see what you mean ;)
@@SharpWind ;)
I watched Allan Becker cover this, but nice video anyways.
The point was to tell you about the 12 principles, but i put Alan Becker's videos in the description :P
Really helps a lot
Follow all of them, and we can assure you that your animations will become much better
~SharpWind

OMG THANKS UR DA BESTTT!!!!!!
you're most welcome!
glad the tutorial helped
~SharpWind
You made a slightly mistake about explaining Straight ahead and Pose to pose. Both are actually ways of animating. Yes, pose to pose means literally pose to pose. You do pose A, and then pose B, and then pose C, and so on. But Straight ahead is not what you said in the video ("Unpredictble and dont have a pattern to follow"). Straight ahead is another method of animating, wich means that you animate your key poses, and right after that you create breakdowns and even in betweens poses. So, its not actually random. Its a straight foward method of animating.
actually, pose to pose is where you determine your key poses and then fill in the gaps (which the 3D software does automatically, that's why i said it was pointless), and the straight ahead is where you animate each frame forwards continuously, and it's hard to keep a solid motion that way and it results in being chunky, hence it's being used to animate particles, fire and such, as they don't have a determined path to follow
can u do video how we can change clolor eyes on your rig face :D ?
thanks
hahahhaa..i should have watch this vid before starting my sequel
8:00 i am so afraid of that smile
+plus great tips
i actually came again just for the -Arcs
wow :)
just like alan becker in a more easier way xD
i'll take that as a compliment :P
the principles are the same no matter who teaches them
my boi alan becker xD
those are the actual animating principles taught in collages and they were "placed" by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston in the 20. century
its not just Alan Becker who studied them
~SharpWind
ok.
Sharpwind uses activated windows
oooooooooooooooooooooooo
how to make charged creeper
That dude in Staging is using Crescent Rose. Nice.
that dude in staging is me xD
i made that 😂
Yea, i know you did, and the animation is really good man.
And the tips are very solid too
Comparing 2danimation to 3d animation has made me realise that animation has a lot of tweening. What if somebody disabled it, to make it look something more akin to 2d animation and stop-motion.
I understood somethings
The slight swaying while walking is so hard to do
animation in general is hard :p
Hey man your doing great on CZcams I don't think you remember me but you might remember me as water_boy76 we use to talk on discord a while back you you were telling me about you creeper collab
i remember you, good to hear from you
I'm using your rig for a new project thanks for the rigs P.S I subbed and liked your video
how much tempo are using using for animations?
my tempo with your is different i guess...
cause..every time im trying to follow your tutorial..mine is little bit faster then your-
i keep it on default 24
Are you from slovenia
Lol roasting cazakojas rig
wasnt really roasting it, since i said he used one of the 12 professional principles to design it :P
why u write activate windwos on serbian?
3:56 bruh it is not a blue guy its litirly you
is he krm studioz
WHERE DO THE ANIMATINGGO IN THE FILE AFTER SAVEING THAT *PLZ TELL*
In the project folder
I'm that guy from NewZealand lol
nice but there are how much principels
Original principles of animation, as they were back in the day described by Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas consisted of the 12 listed ones.
Obviously animation is far more complex than 12 tips, but these tips are used as a "beginner survival kit" when it comes to learning. The 12 principles of animatiom are a framework and ground rules upon most modern animation is based on
I studied animation professionally :)
Whats ur server?
how to make appeal
basically make the character "likeable" by appearance
make them appear charismatic and have a lot of personality
I need help in this principal called "Ideas" help I can't get any ideas!
same
why do you think i have so many tutorials?
COMO ENGROSSAR E AFINAR UM ITEM NO MINEIMATOR??
Parent it to your character / block (whatever you want to fix it on)
Man are the animations of The Tan James and SKIBBZ newbie?
Or are you talking to the EXTREMELY noob people???
how are TheTanJames or SKIBBZ related to this video in any way?
i'm talking to the VAST MAJORITY of people, cause i still see a lot of bad animations
Those 2 animators are related because they use mine imator.
this tutorial isnt meant for them????
Umm...
I use Blender 3D.
Works with blender too
the software doesnt really matter
its about the principles
always wanted to know how americans do it
Most of the MI community aren't even American tho.
Its a universal standard, these principles
eeeee can maybe not many more standard animations ??? no uh well
0:25 11.Timing**T**
