HIK-VISION CCTV CAMERAS & A WIRELESS BRIDGE INSTALL

I install some new Hik-Vision IP CCTV cameras and a Wireless data bridge to send images from some of the cameras on an outbuilding back to the NVR recorder. Linking 2 PoE switches together at 2 different locations also back to the NVR recorder.

I don't know if you know but if you get a 3/8th die, the 25mm conduit tubing can be threaded to go into the back box. Suggest warming it up in the winter but in the summer it cuts a thread nicely, then you can screw it into the back box plate. Love the videos 😀

I’ve got 6 of the 8mp ColorVu 2nd gen on the house and it is superb!! Highly recommend it, if you can afford it.

The white light is too bright in my opinion. I’ve had two customers change their mind after their house is lit up and coming in bedroom window

@@aardvarkinstalls just seen on DVS, that there is a newer ColorVU. It is motion detection based. So black and white and then when somebody/something appears, the light comes on and is colour.

just curious inside the house why wouldnt you use the NVR to power the cameras on the main house?

Hi, it was because I used the old cabling from their previous cctv installation and that’s where the cables terminated, and the client didn’t want the NVR situated there, so by putting a switch in there, I could just link it into the system with a longer data cable into another switch and put NVR in better place.

Nice video pal , just set a similar system up my self , how did you get on with the wireless bridge ?? Did you purchase pre configured or did you have to set up manually ?? I’d love to know who ur supplier is who’s tech help is good 😂 I seem to get passed from person to person from my suppliers

Thanks mate. No I configured it all my self with a lot of instruction from my suppliers. I use AllTrade. They are strictly trade account only though, but if that suits then I can highly recommend them and their support team. If you want to get an account maybe contact them and say I recommended them to you?
