The Vikings have never had an elite corner, Antoine Winfield was the best to play for the Vikings but because he was mostly a slot corner I wouldn't say he was elite, but he was close, probably the best tackler to ever play for the Vikings. Xavier Rhodes is probably the next best but against certain types of wide receivers he wasn't as effective, he was best against guys like Julio Jones.
You need to go back a little further - find out something about the Vikings pre 2000.
Nate Wright and Bobby Bryant were both very, very good - maybe even 'elite' as you say.
I know because I watched them.
@@timfarney5165 I have been watching the Vikings since 1972 Bryant and Wright were okay because they benefited from playing behind a great defensive front seven. Rhodes and Winfield were better, yet not a single CB for the Vikings has gotten serious consideration for the Hall of Fame.
