Hi guys , I have a gb 5 and have completed a rebuild on the steam wand but can't get the wand to close completely have tried so many adjustments but is still leaking steam from end . Not sure what I'm doing wrong. It's a gb5 and has done a lot of work in a cafe/roastery but pulling my hair out to get it fixed .
Not sure if this is your problem but I've been rebuilding steam valves on my linea for my coffee shop for 10 years and every time I've tried using their recommended dow corning 111 lube it sticks open and at very least closes very slowly or just stays open. It's far far too sticky a lube in my opinion and I now use super lube which is also nsf but not nearly as thick or sticky, and works perfectly.

I had that happen too because I had reinstalled the part at 4:50 backwards. Pretty noob of me, but righting it solved my problem.

How do you build back pressure after reinstall?
