- How to cook Ginisang Ampalaya ng Walang Pait.
(exact ingredients below)
One of the healthiest Filipino dishes. It's consists of Ampalaya or bitter gourd, sauteed with egg, tomato, pork, and shrimp. Best served with freshly steamed white rice.
This Ginisang Ampalaya is guaranteed not bitter, as my 2 years old son loves it. :)
Ingredients:
2 Ampalaya or Bitter gourd (sliced)
3 cloves of garlic (minced)
2 onions (sliced)
2 tomatoes (sliced)
2 eggs (scrambled) with salt and white pepper
1/4 kg Pork belly (optional)
1/4 kg shrimp (optional)
2 tbsp fish sauce

FYI lang po...kaya po pinakuluan ko sa baking soda ang gulay is to retain or ma enhance ung color ng gulay, kahit luto na is same parin po ung kulay nya..

Yung iba ibinababad saglit sa tubig na may asin ang hiniwang ampalaya para alisin ang pait. Susubukan ko nga ang style mo para sa husband ko na ayaw ng mapait na ampalaya. me what i do to remove the bitterness i just put a good amount of salt and little water gently toss it and leave for 3-5 minuets then rinse
