    If I were in charge in CA I would definitely have to change the Tombkings and Vampires alike
    In my opinion, the Undead(TKs and VCs) need to have new unique resources instead of blood kisses
    For example Bones(bodies) and Souls
    You could harvest both of them at the sight of battles but with one major difference
    You can harvest bones(bodies) from the old graveyards(related to the previous great battles) too but souls are so much more important and you can only harvest them when you are personally involved in battles or are close to the actual battles in campaign map to be able to absorb the souls after that
    With bones, you can reanimate them into skeletons, and with souls, you can either turn them into ethereal units like Hexwrieghts and Carimwreights or use them to bring the colossal constructs like Khemrian Warsphynxes or Necrosphynxes to life or use them to buff up your magical abilities it creates some really powerful items
    You can put some special souls into the game as well. The souls of the legendary lords for example and use these special souls to either revive your lord and bring him/her back to life like an actual living character with his/her prime form peak strength and abilities or perish them and put a curse on them for the entirety of the campaign
    These curses can long a last time a criple the specific legendary lord that his/her soul was captured by the Tomb kings
    After you brought back your legendary lord to life by using special souls now you could use the other souls to turn your undead servants into living again and benefit from their true for with their prime abilities
    Also, I think the vampire counts roster should get diversified as well
    because it doesn't seem that all of these units are undead
    Some of them like ghouls seem to be alive, not undead
    Units like Crypt ghouls or Crypt horrors or Varghiests or Bats do not seem to be undead at least to me
    So it is better to distinguish them from each other

    I hope they keep the offices for Vampire Coast, it fits quite well the idea of your LL leading a "fleet" and the different lord taking certain places in it, although the mechanic is painfully weak and bloated for what it is, there is a lot of roles that do nothing or have effect that just don´t matter for the faction, like wohoo i get minor buffs for the different beasts i have when they are all just kinda ehh at actually killing stuff and making a dedicated army around the role the buffs are too weak to even try, just buff the roles and combines some of them, also convert all the bonuses to faction wide and not only for the lord holding that office, make the player have to CHOOSE what office they want and make them competitive with each other.
    Other than that, Vampire Coast has a LOT of problems, starting from the main idea behind them, so each faction has its flavor of why its unit of a certain type is special, When looking at rifle units the thunderer has a shield for blocking return fire and is the most accurate, handgunners are the middle ground for most things and they have the best calibration distance, also the fastest, Streltsi have the best melee stats and Vampire Coasts Zombie Pirate Gunnery Mob (Handgunners) have the most damage, they have the most models, the most base and AP damage and they have the "Black Powder Aplenty" trait that boosts it even further but they hare the most inaccurate by a lot.
    This idea is with pretty much the whole of the Vampire Coast roster, they hit VERY hard for what they are but most of the time they have other down sides to keep them in check, so why do they suffer so much?
    All their stuff is low tier, often inaccurate and slow to reload, so they have the best cannon in terms of damage, but its tier 2 unit, same for their mortar and zombie handgunners, all their stuff is the best of its tier for damage but they just lack a ton of actual late game stuff, so while others are using Nuln Ironsides, Sisters of avalon, Shades or celestial dragon crossbows, your still using your best gunpowder units, a tier 2 zombie mob with handguns.
    Also, their whole roster has been made to be around gunpowder but they have very few ways of playing around that, the lore of the deep has 1 spell for helping their gunline, they have a lack of heroes in general and even higher lack of tanky heroes and they have no tanky frontline that´s not crabs but those block your own shots as much as they do the enemies.
    Your rites suck, the tech tree is slow as fuck and has tons of useless techs, only your faction leaders gets the horde growth skill so all your other horde lords are gonna grow at a very slow pace even in the late game as you have few ways of boosting it, your economy just sucks and while sacking is ok, you can´t attack from the sea for old race reasons and raiding income is shit, also it the basic raid stance so it takes movement to go into and gives nothing special unlike most raiding focused races, treasure hunts are far too low reward to be worth going after, your main faction resource, infamy, is slow to get and does mostly nothing, so you either don´t have enough early game or you have nothing to spend it on, your heroes are far too hard to increase capacity for, your have no hero to increase loyalty passively unlike the 2 other loyalty races, your only mount is actually a negative and all except the gunnery wight are better off when they are not on it, pirate coves are far weaker compared to any other hidden structure like the skaven.
    Just as a final point, for the Vampire Counts, they are not weak nor are the that outdated, the are just incredibly BORING and have nothing that interesting going on, so while i don´t think they need a rework like many other races need one, they need a big content addition to make them more interesting and breathe something resembling fun into their mechanics.

    Well, Vampire counts need update for the Bloodline mechanic, to just make it more fun at least and some additions to the roster, bc it is all kind of the same army composition which is a bit tiring

    I actually think a racial rework would be really nice for the Vampire Counts. They just feel super vanilla, like, there's basically one way to play them and then slight variations on it.
    Empire you can build out armies in a bunch of crazy ways and your end game composition of lords, heroes, etc. can vary wildly game to game.
    Vampires feel very... samey.
    Also, I really don't love how all the lords share the exact same mechanic (as you mentioned).
    I'd pay huge money if Isabella maybe got a clan Moulder style mechanic to customize her beasties, if Vlad got Elector Count and Imperial Support mechanics, Mannfred got a spell customization mechanic where different books of Nagash would unlock new spell effects, Kemmler got maybe a horde stance to really reflect his wandering, mobile lore scouring old tombs throughout the old world.
    Obviously I'd also love The Red Duke as well, perhaps with chivalry and questing mechanics, and perhaps a scavenger hunt to fight powerful beasts 1v1, drinking their blood, and unlocking new special perks.
    Oh, and also, make Vlad and Isabella Order-aligned to reflect the lore. The empire might hate to admit it, and they may still have diplomatic trade offs to make amongst imperial factions, but they SHOULD be order aligned. Also a Lahmian Sister hood spy/influence mechanic would also be dope for these two and further flesh out unique ways for Vlad and Isabella to overcome their poor starting reputation amongst the other Elector Counts.

    I think adding / copying some unique mechanics for the individual lords would be nice same goes for the other undead factions
    The Vampire counts could be paired with Norsca or the Lizardman since the VC mostly need some tweaks and copying mechanics from other factions

    I'm loving Warhammer Total War since the first game started. Undead races were always my favourite ones. The exitement of thinking about Nagahs keeps me awake at night. Vampires are more than just races in the game. Seeing their characters reaches new dimensions. They are big part of european culture and legends.

  • @cap258
    @cap258 Před 18 dny +1

    In fact, the highest prio on your list is not the one that needs the update the most, it´s actually more the case that the other races are dlcs which means probably not everyone owns them so they don´t care.
    And I fully understand why they don´t own tomb kings and vampire coasts because they arn´t unique neither with there campaign mechanics nor with their unit capablilities. That´s exacatly the reason why they need an update.
    U said morters are a good unit for the vampirecoast, well I would say morters are the worst arttilery in the whole game. There precison is horrible, it is more likely that they randomly hit a unit that´s close by than their target and quite often they won´t land a single good hit while infantry is approching. To be fair they work quite well on sieges when the bot sends a ton of units onto ur commander/heroes and u got a big blob of units. But this behavior is quite unlikely in a field battle where the bots usually run past ur heroes and lords.
    I´d love to see confederation for the vampire coast, ship buildings for all lords, a gold generating shipbuilding or just more money from city buildings. A rework of the pirate bays, more different lords (because the generic lords right now are both casters with one being better in melee and the other one having a range weapon) maybe one more herotype and unit reworks/addtions.
    For the tomb kings, confederations (maybe for Arkhan the black some sort of quest he has to do to confederate, because they don´t like him at the start), get rid of the army limitation or maybe just increase it to 2 armies for all of them. Increase the urns u get according to the quality of units u defeated, maybe rework the technology tree, add a few units possilby and pretty please rework this book of nagash mechanic it´s just annoying and not fun.

  • @DarkSpells87
    @DarkSpells87 Před 19 dny

    I think they are preparing the field for Nagash's arrival with these leaked DLCs. I mean Lords of Shangiang (probably butchered the name) and Dogs of War are kinda multifactions which sets a stone for Neferata and Nagash to come in using some combination of Vampore counts and Tomb Kings with their own flavor added.

  • @viperarum5538

    well we already have given up on Vampire Coast and Tomb Kings (a shame they are paid content and are still positive on Steam...) therefore we want a more likely rework for the Vampire Counts ^^

  • @sagacity1071
    @sagacity1071 Před 19 dny

    Seiges with coast are super easy you are willing to fire into the openings. The AI WONT leave the castle so you just give attack orders each time a unit walks by the breach.

  • @DaemonPrince
    @DaemonPrince Před 19 dny

    missed the poll, but imo CA is pumping out alot of mechanics based around having timed or getting permanent free units, very few race factions actually dont have mechanics around acquiring or getting free units/armys in general, Ogres are on this list and assuming this leak about Golfag is true they might get free units this coming DLC which me and many others are not looking forward too considering what they are dropping.
    Anyway, Im assuming the Vampire counts only getting any real changes because I doubt they will touch TK or Vcoast simply because they are mostly feature complete factions, on the other hand raise dead is most likely getting reworked to being based around re-animating free army's from battles based on the casualty's of a battlefield, very likely going to add research as well to increase the amount raised from the mechanic.

      If CA is still as much of a crap-show behind the scenes as some people claim, then it might be good for them to stick with Warhammer Fantasy while they try to unscrew themselves; instead of release something like TW 40K and have it be a broken mess that tanks their reputation. But they did dump an unholy amount of money into Hyenas, and Sega will be itching to make that back, so it seems like they'll be rushing no matter what.

    Vampire counts need a rework, because they are waiting the longest FULL STOP. I hate how you force your opinions everywhere. Like lizzards, which were updated several times since they came in WH2. Bloodlines suck and they have nothing else. And now tell me about the Interesting campaign mechanics PLEASE. Campaigns are boring, because of basically no mechanics.
