    Shullz is the most overrated """A"""" list comedian going, and it's practically criminal that his podcsat constistantly falls so far short of other podcasts of that size and 'influence'. The best episode of Flagrant is as bad as the worst 2 Bears, One Cave episode, which is right there for top 3 overrated big comedy podcasts going. It's 4 middle aged dorks that get dressed up by their stylests in the lamest street wear meant for kids half their age and a guest(s) all talking at once and stepping all over each others "jokes", who's head honcho forces an accent he didn't grow up with with the number 2 guy is a nerdy Indian kid who thinks he's street. Everything about this show is cringe af.

      Shane definitely saw those cartoon videos from India trying to get the people to use indoor plumbing. It’s an amazing joke that certainly hits hard. You can tell because homeboy had to immediately deflect with his stupid “to let” toilet story. As late as 2014 well over half the population in India didn’t use indoor plumbing. But they went to the moon…so they got that going for them.

      @@hopefullyreasonable No, most genuinely smart people know that describing "intelligence" is controversial because it is unclear what the 'abilities' of intelligence are and whether its even something you can coherently quantify. The most basic agreement about the description of 'Intelligence' is that it is the ability to process and retain knowledge to be applied to problems in the abstract or in the environment.
      From a synthesis of 70+ definitions from psychology, philosophy, and AI researchers: "Intelligence measures an agent's ability to achieve goals in a wide range of environments". This is a definition that can at least be mathematically formalized depending on the 'environment' being navigated, analyzed, or the problem being solved by an intelligent actor.
      What you are describing is WIT and HUMOR. Shane's intelligence here is that he is extremely effective at navigating social interactions and generating humorous observations about the state of reality.

    I recently saw Schulz perform live and within 5 minutes I realized how much I outgrew him. He was funny in 2020/2021 because of the social environment but now it’s like beating a dead horse. Mark was a mediocre opener and Schulz’s material was lame. The black dude who went before Mark was pretty good. A lot of Schulz’s material is so ungrounded it might as well be a script for a cartoon. I think most of the audience was more there for Schulz’s celebrity than actually to hear original comedy. Definitely lots of parasocial relationships going on. Also he made everyone wait to pay their checks until after he finished his set... Thankfully he did at a shorter ~50 minute headliner set. Schulz is just a bougie edgelord who’s a victim of his own success now. He’s become complacent and won’t have a place in comedy history like Gillis or Louis will at this rate.

Short news articles, flashy graphics, decently funny material and onto the next. Once he had eyes on him and people watched his other content it became pretty apparent that he’s not really quick witted or naturally funny. Those covid era videos didn’t allow for his personality or joke delivery to really develop because they were so fast, now that he has longer form content it’s apparent he’s just a middle aged who tries to act like a modern frat bro. India's share of the world economy before colonization, 23% by the time the British left it was below 4%. In fact Britain's industrialization was premised upon the de-industrialization of India. For example- India's world famous handloom weavers, and Britain came right in, smash their thumb, broke their looms, imposed tariffs and duties, and took the raw material from India to Britisher industries, flooding the worlds market with what became the products of the dark and satanic mills of Victorian England. Weavers in India became beggars. India went from having 27% of the world to having a mere 2%. We were made to pay for our oppression.
      Between 15-29 millions Indians died by man-made famines induced by the Britishers. Ex- the great Bengal famine during the second world war.
      Railways and roads were built to serve the British interest and those of the local people. And BTW many countries have built railways and roads without being colonized.
      They were made to carry out raw materials out of India.
      Literacy rate and mortality rate was at an all time low during colonial times.
      For once I can go on and on about the things they did, there is a cure for ignorance but not stupidity.
      It is a bit rich to oppress, enslave, kill torture, r#pe people for 200 years and celebrate that fact that they have railways at the end of it.

      I mean Shane is definitely a millionaire, but the patreon is mostly for Matt, who isn't as popular as Shane so he doesn't make as much as Shane on the road.
      I don't really give a shit, like, they make tons of content completely for free and all we have to do is skip the ads so who gives a shit if they put part of it behind a cheap ass paywall. If you're a fan you can support them, and if you're not in a position to do that, it's on YT for free under other people's channels.

    @2:41, Akash's response to Shane actually offended me because of how ignorant, stigmatizing, and also how legitimately aggressive his comeback is. When Shane says, "you guys love trains... and bothering women on the internet... is all of india autistic?", Akash replies, "We're actually the most emotional but I'm curious to know where you're going with this".
    I am autistic, and yes I do love trains, and, yes, autistic people do bother women on the internet lol, but Akash's response shows that he has a complete lack of understanding of Autism and clearly thinks that autism is just an insult for 'defective people without real emotions'. Indians who are actually from India are 100x cooler, smarter, and funnier than people like Akash. None of my friends from India would be offended about Shane's comments in the slightest.

    I didn't realize Shultz was this hated to be honest. He's certainly not a favorite of mine, but I thought his special from last year was at least decent. Shane is on another level though. Pretty much any podcast he goes on, he's the funniest person in the room.

    Schulz was on the right track in the beginning with the Molly vs Ecstasy thing (at least from what my understanding has always been).
    Ecstasy was typically pressed into a pill and cut with various other stimulants back in the day, while Molly is “supposed” to be straight up MDMA.
    At least that’s how it was explained to me years ago.

    • @George-pl7eu
      @George-pl7eu Před 7 měsíci

      Shit it feels the same just depends on what cut with most likely speed why make 5 MDMA pills when you can make 20 and sell at 60 a piece people usually when taking mdma take a upper like speed too lol

    • @krusher181
      @krusher181 Před 6 měsíci

      Ecstasy is a slang term for mdma. But early mdma was mostly mixed with stuff… you can still get it mixed with stuff.
      It’s not as simple as you’re making it sound. It’s just a slang term they used in the 90’s and 2000’s. It’s not a super specific thing
