- Environmental Philosophy is one of my favorite genres to read! This video is about creating a deeper relationship with nature. Not about climate change or political environmentalism. The change we wish to see in the world starts with us. Most of us want to project pseudo-altruism and aggression about the environment when we don't even experience a co-creative relationship with it.

looks like my amazon list is about to get longer EDIT: Dune (Book 1) has a great eco-conscious message, but it really gets into it through the series. I always recommend everyone to read the series at least up through God Emperor of Dune (Book 4)
Haha, sorry for adding to it! I agree. Book 1 and 4 do a tremendous job of connecting a eco-conscious narrative to the story. Books 5-6 have a bunch of big eco resolutions (for the Dune world) happen though which is interesting!
Can you please do a live stream of the science fiction and fantasy series tier list
Planning on it soon! Have to edit out all the ones I haven't read
The Tang and Song Dynasty poetry
in some senses is because
the Chinese didn't develop glass technology
because they had good pottery
so they never developed glasses
which is estimated extended
a learned persons working life by 20 years
so from forty / fifty there is a decline in eye sight
which was in the West corrected by glasses
but in China these highly intellectual people
retired and
retired to a country estate
and this gives us a great deal of the "rivers-and-mountains" poetry
In my readingNotes tiddlywiki
I have added after watching your video
an "idea" - which is the precursor to a "project"
to read more works on ecology and environment
especially from the philosophical end of the spectrum.
As my current reading project is reading books published in 1962
the year of my birth
I have already got
Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring"
and Murray Bookchin's "Our Synthetic Environment" on my list
as they were both published in 1962.
In addition I have added
the poetry of the "Rivers-and_Mountain" poetry school
from the Tang and Song dynasties
and David Abram too.
Thank you for springboarding an idea and tying some disparate thinking together.
You will love David Abram! Have some breakdowns on him on this channel. Love these comments. Taught me some good stuff!
YO
YO!!! Hope you're doing well!
@@WriteConscious twin peaks is so goddamn good
Haha! Oh man! The end of season 2 is pretty trash. But, if you can get through it will be worth it. Make sure to watch the movie before you watch season 3!
@@WriteConscious in my opinion the first few episodes of season 2 and episodes at the end are great in my opinion
Agree the middle is a little whack. Are you on season 3??
