Thank you Simon - just starting green laning, this was invaluable. Top man.
Hey up Dave, glad to be of help, have you seen the other three that compliment this series ?
I have indeed! All excellent. Joined TRF (North Wales) and got an OS Sub off the back of them all @@SIMONB1 ...you should be on commission!
Another great video si 👍👍
Hey up Al, thanks for the feedback, ride safe, Simon B 😎
Good morning Simon great video of how to use this app and a great way to find your way around.
Hey up Steve, hope you are well, thanks for watching and dropping a comment, ride safe, Simon B 😎
Now I know how to get route to follow the lane with snap feature. Takes a bit longer plotting & trying to make sure you're staying on the trail you want 👍🏼
Hey up yatesey8527, glad to be of help, it's a great app, new version to be released soon, ride safe, Simon B 😎
Thanks great information All the best
Hey up Paul, glad to be of help, it's a easy app to use, and now it's been updated, it's better 😁, where you riding ?
@@SIMONB1 Its a good App and with access to all the OS mapping it was a bargain at £25.00 - on offer when I purchased it. I use it for hiking and mountaineering. I`m North Staffs so only about 1 3/4 hours from Snowdonia or the lakes. Thanks again
Great vid... I gave up on OS and stuck with OA... Just because of the frustration of trying to plot a route! It's probably me... I'm still subscribed, I'll give another go... The downloadable maps are a useful feature, i.e. still maps when loss of signal.
Hey up screamifyoumeaneit, I think it's one of the easiest to plot a route, I use it a lot for the EMTB, have another go with it, thanks for watching and dropping a comment, ride safe, Simon B 😎
OS maps would be more useful if there was a greenlane routing option. Or at least if it allowed to change the kind of route for each segment, one could then use off-road cycle for the lane and road cycling to quickly connect greenlanes.
You could do it the other way, plot a road route and it snap to the road, then manually plot the lanes as most would be shorter than the road section, just a thought 🤔, ride safe Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1 I will try
you can export from phone. click on the little down arrow next to the route name and pick export gpx
BTW the apple version has just been totally refreshed and now works differently
Hey up Dave it's the importing that's an issue not exporting a gpx file on the app, that seems to have been removed 🤔, ride safe Simon B 😎
Simon thanks for that. Very straight forward, now how about you share one or two of those routes you have set as Private. 😅
Hey up Steve, thanks for watching, the saved routes I have would be no good for you as they are all my EMTB routes so all bridleways sorry 😉, ride safe, Simon B 😎
Another great vid Simon. One day I’ll own a bike again. Right now it’s a 4x4.. family and all that bit. Question if I may, using OSMaps to find routes suitable for 4x4, what setting would you recommend or does it have a specific one for 4x4? Not got OS maps yet but will do if it can be used successfully for 4x4 too.
Hey up glen, you need to be using the off road cycle settings, then it will allow you to mapp off road 👍, ride safe, Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1 Thank you Simon. Thats really helpful ride safe.
