One thing I felt like would've been worth mentioning just because it's funny and a lot of people miss it - at one point in the fistfight between Pico and Darnell, Pico throws a fake punch at Darnell and he flinches, and Pico laughs at him for it. It's honestly pretty difficult to notice when you're focusing on the notes though
I didn't realize the laugh game after a fake punch. That's super funny! I hope Pico gives him 2 for flinching after 😂

I know its not an easter egg or anything but I ADORE the little detail that when youre close to losing Nene stops kicking her feet and readies her knife to throw it at you and when you get more health back she goes back to kicking her feet, i just love small details like that

You did miss something pretty big. If you idle for long enough on the new free play menu, bf will get bored of dj-ing and start watching tv. The audio for what he is watching is sourced from various newgrounds animations, with each audio snippet in the files being labeled by its respective NG portal url number id.

A very fun easter egg is when BF idles on the freeplay menu, he'll eventually put away his mix set and kick up his feet to watch a monitor. In the files, the images that apparently show on the monitor are all lead to newgrounds animations.
Also i think one video for both of them expanding on Nene and Darnell, and maybe even other pico characters, would be pretty cool. Idk if theyre right, but some folks theorize that cassandra may join the cast with Nene to get BF since darnell and pico are too dumb and gay (/pos) together and pico still cares about bf too much to kill him. Its a cool idea, but even if it doesnt happen itd still be cool to learn more about other characters!
I like how the dev decided to return to the whole history of Pico's School mainly for Weekend 1.

I think that the way Pico is drinking from a straw might also be a reference - to an old (and from what I recall terribly offensive) Dragonball Z animation where Krillin drinks a Pepsi with almost the same face. Notably also referenced (I believe) in Punch Punch Forever!

Something else I really love combined with literally everything else about this update is Nene's design being genuinely really cute and accurate but also not being an asian stereotype anymore (she doesnt have yellow skin or slanted eyes)

Whats the implication of Nene holding and looking at a picture with GF and BF on it, is she going to continue with Daddy Dearest gave to them?
Just note that this is what you can see by just playing the game, there's a lot more you can find that hasn't been used yet, such as:
- Nene has 2 unused special animations, one of them being intended for when Pico hits a combo of 50, and the other one is intended to be used for I believe when Pico has a combo of 70 or more, and misses, where she laughs. GF also has those, being just the cheer and cry animations reused
- There's some assets that have spritemaps with body parts instead of spritemaps with specific animations.
- Boyfriend has some new animations in his JSON file.
There's probably more, but that's all I have.

Something I noticed pretty quickly is that some of the frames/poses in the cutscene following "Blazin'" where Pico and Darnell are really going at it, are definitely a reference to the final brawl between Simon and the Anti-Spiral in the second Gurren Lagann movie.

During the starting cutscene a little bit before Pico crashes through the trash bags, there is a character or something hiding to the far left of the screen, its only there for a few frames

is the audio at the end of Roses Erect a known reference? I know fnf samples a lot of random clips from streams and stuff but I don't think one's ever been as prominently featured so it feels notable to mention

One thing I see a lot of people missing is that the coloured squared in A Bot arent just a set animation, they actually corresponed to the music itself, like an audio visualizer
I didn't mention it because it felt obvious. It wouldn't be the first time they had a background element synced to the music - and it's kind of A-Bots whole thing.
But after seeing several comments about it, I guess it would have been with a mention!
There is a small detail you missed: The name of the 'boss theme' that is being remixed for that guitar portion is called: "Talkin' Smack/Talking Smack" . I just want that as a single alone, it's one of my favorite little guitar loops and that is by far my FAVORITE rendition of that loop.

you forgot that hitting y on the title screen now makes the game window move around, and there is now some key combination to make girlfriend change colors on the main menu now instead of just holding left or right arrow keys

I've seen the update a bit overshadowed by the massive Mario's Madness mod released 2 months ago. Though that's not to discredit a lot of the amazing stuff this update did! The new tracks are all great and the QoL improvements are all really appreciated.
It's also really nice to have some harder songs in the base game, thanks to the modding community, 4-8 minute songs with much harder and faster tracks have kinda become a normality with some of them even adding additional gimmicks to them as well. The base game was, for lack of a better word, comically easy compared to anything else you were seeing. Even week 8.
The erect difficulty is more on par with tracks you'd find in a lot 2023 and 2024 mods and I'm sure it's really nice for people who've been engaged in the community a long time between updates.
A small detail but I love how the visualizer on A-Bot's screen is accurate to the music, I have no idea how they could have done that

I remember playing some of the most random things to ever exist on newgrounds when I was very young.
My favorite song is the Dad Battle erect because of the constant rhythm. Also that of 2 Hot.
I think a video on a couple of Picos School characters would be awesome, Darnell, Nene, and maybe even Cassandra or some other picos characters! Like a Pico side character video. (Also if Pico and Darnells nose wipe fight thing is a DBZ reference I wouldn’t be surprised, Dave (Phantom Arcade) Loves DBZ)
For your question on whether you should make a short or long form content extending Pico's universe, i'd say go for a long form content, as you've always been talented enough to cram in enough details in a short video, and it would keep everything in one spot and organized. Sure, this may take more time to create, but I think it would pay off. Ive always prefered videos over Shorts, and while i do enjoy hours of content, if you feel a video under 30 minutes or even your standard 10-15 minutes is fair and reasonable. Overall, I would love to personally learn more about these characters, but I feel you should do however you see fit at the end of the day, I know it will still turn out as a banger!!

the fnf devs have always treated week 8 and the darnell level separately...and they said WEEK 8 is on its way and never really bringing up darnells week because they where asked specifically about week 8. so that means week 8 is still on its way and it should be very soon if they just dropped weekened ...
since i personally used too think darnell and week 8 where 1 in the same but this has been proven false but they never called darnells week weekend one when refering too the next update that means the real week 8 IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. and we have no idea whats going on with it,
