- Today we're driving through the Uptown Neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Starting at Bde Maka Ska (formerly Lake Calhoun), we drive west into Uptown, passing Calhoun Square at Lake & Hennepin, then loop around throughout the neighborhood on Lyndale, 26th Avenue, Hennepin, and Lagoon. We pass sites such as Stella's Fish Cafe, Urban Outfitters, The Uptown Theater, the Granada Theater, Mansion, The Uptown Drink, The Minneapolis Library, The Midtown Greenway, and others. We also drive past several apartment buildings, condominiums, duplexes, and single-family homes.
The Uptown Neighborhood of Minneapolis is one of the city's most vibrant and exciting places to live and play, featuring many bars & restaurants, as well as access to Bde Maka Ska and Lake of the Isles.

I have now watched 2 of your driving videos. I can't believe the changes since I was there in 1998.
Thanks for watching! Yes, the area really has changed a lot, especially in Eagan and Apple Valley!
officially subscribed 🙂 Always a pleasure to revisit some of my old stomping grounds.
Thanks for watching and for your comments. Glad you've liked the videos!
When I first moved to Minneapolis in 2013, Uptown was known as "yuppie." I would say it is now known for crime. A few examples - I used to go to a bar called Bar Louie. It was pretty heavily African-American. No problem, good vibe. A man was shot in the back there one night and they closed. The Apple store closed after the riots. Btw, a female Apple employee was once slashed 14 times by a Somali man who was never caught. She survived but moved out of Minnesota after that. I am only writing this to give you a counter-balance to the nice video he presents. I once got off the bus at Lake and Hennepin and immediately saw a fight in the McDonalds parking lot, like two seconds after getting off the bus. Carjackings and car thefts are rampant down there.
I like the videos you do cause I moved to Las Vegas in 2010. I miss it there. Thanks for the videos.
Proud to live in Uptown!
My neighborhood!
Such a fun area!!
beautiful!!
loved this video!
Awesome - thanks for watching!
Might want to turn the volume down a notch or two on the music. Just a suggestion.
If I'll be live here, is it problem to get to downdtown without a car? are any bus routes from here?
many bus routes to downtown that are easily accessible along both hennepin and lyndale avenue
why don’t you tour north minneapolis 😏
LOL
Not 26th Avenue, its 26th Street. As a realtor you would know this.
Looks very suburban and white bread.
yeah this the same place the U.S Marshalls Killed a Comedian, Musician and farther Winston Smith
You mean a thug criminal who had it coming.
@@jupiterinaries6150 I mean yeah if we're predicting your future.
@@KidaleSmith what an intelligent response. You’re the problem with Minneapolis. A typical criminal coddler. I’ve never even been arrested Fool!
Uptown is a crap hole now! Too many section 8 moving in carrying barbecue grills on the sidewalks, hanging out in their cars for hours and on the apartment porches, playing thump music loud at 2am…it’s a nasty ghettoized place to live now.
Boring....
It’s lake Calhoun. You can’t erase history.
Saw an Apartment in Uptown when I went to visit in August to get a feel for the area, cost, etc…….looking to relocate soon, I’ve visited a few states and cities already. I liked what I saw in Minneapolis.
Yeah - Uptown isn't back to what it once was, but it's still a cool neighborhood and is in a great location near the lakes and parks!
😂😂😂😂😂. There is nothing left of “UpTown”.
@0:24 - you lost me at “Bidet ma caca” 💩
It’s Lake Calhoun, you tool!
Hey - I hear you. I just gotta go with the current names for these places. Even the street names and park signs have changed.
