2024 CVO ROAD GLIDE ST FLAT-OUT BAR INSTALL ON 2024 ROAD GLIDE!

- I gotta say this bar is one of the first things I noticed when I first saw the CVO Road Glide ST. It screamed aftermarket mod yet bore the name "Harley-Davidson." It's part of the reason the 2024 model Road Glide has me so excited. To me, the changes they made are proof of the motor company looking at the market and listening to the people who actually buy their products.
So anyway, here's the installation of the flat-out bar on our 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide. In my opinion, the name likely comes from the fact this bar flat-out makes the bike look better (golf clap for dad joke, lol.) HD is very clear this bar is marketed as "tip-over" protection and not crash protection. I will say the design leads me to believe in the accuracy of that statement, as the mounting of this system is nothing close to the robust stature of products I have used in the past, such as the Bung King crash bars. Either way, it gives reasonable protection against accidental damage and gives the bike a new, more aggressive look.
I have the matching Saddlebag Tip-Over Bar set on order, so as soon as it becomes available, an install video will follow!

Had me on the edge of my chair hoping you wouldn't scratch the front fender on install until you used the fender cover....you scared me :) lol
Hahaha me too! I had it on there at first, but had issues with it getting in the way. Then eventually put it on backwards and it worked a little better! Probably would have been easier to lay down some painters tape or something that didn’t get in the way!

Yea, I have been waiting since mid march for the rear guards as well. Frustrating, considering every CZcamsr with a significant following has received a set and the rest of us who paid for them have been waiting for months. I’ve not looked into highway pegs! I can actually reach the bars themselves for a change in position if needed. Thanks for watching!

I have the risers, just waiting on Thrashin to release the mid-bend bars for the 24’s. Pretty much refreshing the site daily lol. They said it will be end of April before they are available!

Kinda seems useless to me, aside from esthetics. Looks like you end up laying on the floorboards way before these would do anything. At least the stock bar had some low end protection. Does look good though.
I believe this bar extends out further than the stock one. Floorboards will give way and hinge upward, so in the event of a tip-over, they shouldn’t be much of an issue. It would be nice to have a visual on that, though. Maybe once I get the bag protection on, I’ll lower the bike down in a controlled setting to see the clearance.
It will save your floorboards don’t listen to what that lunk head said. Just a suggestion the music you have railing in the background makes it difficult if not impossible to hear you talking. If I may suggest ditch the music it sucks anyway… 👍🏻 thanks for the video I’m doing mine tomorrow…
I have said this a bunch of times most Harley guys do builds and mods and for the most part they all use the same stuff, none of their bikes stand out from one another.
The way I see it, as long as you’re enjoying your motorcycle and the sense of freedom that comes with riding, that’s all that matters!
