As Greek i will tell you something about marathons, the guy that ''made'' the first marathon and we start making the modern version of marathon to honor him, was named Pheidippides, was an athenian soldier that after the battle of marathon against the persians (a place outside Athens around 25 miles i think) run to Athens to tell them about the victory and inform them though that the persian lost the battle but are coming with the ships to lute Athens (since all the solders were in marathon still) so he run to warn them that, the Athenias then dressed the women and old people as soldiers and put them on the walls so when persians came they thought that they were late and the athenian army came back, so they left back to Asia. The main point of this is the Pheidippides DIED straight after he delivered the message to them! He DIED from heart attack!

That little that he gets is only barely keeping him alive, his body musst be in absolute stress 24:7, it's crazy how much abuse our bodies can take, he is testament of it. @@DD-wb8cn People who are obese still get a signal to eat. Are they hungry? This is terrible advice to give to someone overweight. As a feeling of hunger is simply a hormone signal to eat, it isn't necessarily accurate depending on what we put in our body. There's all sorts of reasons you might "feel" hungry (poor quality food, volume of food in your stomach, timing of when you last ate, when we normally expect to eat, etc).
Carbs and fat are both just energy to burn for fuel, our body can make glucose (using carbs or burning our fat via ketosis) and protein is simply for repair and maintenance of lean muscle mass and essential functioning.
OMAD or spreading out meals throughout the day is a personal choice, there's plenty of studies that contradict each other and it normally shows a slight advantage to spread them out, the main thing is calories in calories out. 2500 in one meal or 2500 over the whole day for example, both are going to have pretty similar outcomes. I personally prefer spreading out as I don't like feeling bloated from one large meal. I don't personally believe this fasting window has any real effect on the body any different from exercising and remaining in a small caloric deficit to burn fat while maintaining muscle mass.
I really think you shouldn't be dishing out any advice.

People always say they run or workout "just in case you get into a fight or have to run away" and thats basically the end thought of their argument.
And then they want to sell you that humans in nature actually ran for no reason at all or to chase prey.
What they miss somehow is that weapons are much better than in-built muscles and that even if you had to run for your life you would never get away from an actual predator like a lion, bear or something along those lines. And if you run from another human you would get amounts of adrenaline that will make you as fast as never thought possible without this survival situation.
All in all people that workout dont know why they are doing it - at least thats what I think.

I haven't read so many misinformed comments in my life. It sounds to me like you are finding every reason to not exercise. There's an optimal amount of running that is beneficial for heart health (lowers your heart rate and improves oxygen efficiency in the body), you gain a general level of fitness that promotes a healthy amount of stress on the body so that it becomes more efficient at doing the tasks you put it to. There's other benefits such as it's one of the best anti-depressants out there, there's other mental health benefits and it even improves your cognitive skills. Building muscle and doing resistance training improves muscle co-ordination, improves posture, increases your life span as muscle mass reduces all cause mortality. Your muscle mass goes down as you get older, so to counter-act this, it's a good idea to build a solid foundation while you're young. Improves bone density, reduces chances of general injury, improves strength and makes a lot of things easier to do. Other benefits are you look great, feel great, and people notice the work you put in, social approval, i.e. the Halo effect.
      I hope that helps.

    • @AbsoluterSiegertyp14
      @AbsoluterSiegertyp14 Před 2 měsíci +1

@@joshy2joshy I dont need any other reason to not exercise than not liking to do it. All your mentioned "benefits" have absolutely nothing to do with longevity or are completely wrong (like stress in any way being healthy or muscle mass being in any way indicative of life expectancy. All cause mortality is stupid anyway because it includes getting run over by a car or drowning or literally anything u can imagine.
No study ever done proofs any benefits of stress on longevity. Everyone I know that works out drinks coffee and looks exhausted. No other opinion needed.
Also I know a thing or two about stress as I did amphetamine pretty regularly a few years ago. I noticed the better oxygen efficiency, "clear mind", lower heartrate afterwards, also I felt amazing while on it. None of these effects indicate health, they just indicate adrenaline spikes.

What's really "funny" about the people who work out (in any way) is that they always talk about needing the skill or ability for if they got into a fight. But I've always seen that the "down time" when they are away with doing the activity to train them, they are lacking in the energy to perform those functions efficiently, which cancels out anything they hope to have ready.

Back in high school, a good friend was addicted to running. He had always been a stick, built like a whippet; but he was at 3% Body Fat, which is dangerous if he were to get sick. He would get a high running, and the more he would run, the more he wanted to keep running. It had become an addiction.
Then he said Jesus had spoken to him while he was in prayer, and had asked him to take a break from running, as it was taking over his life and no longer healthy. He took a 6-month fast from running and afterward, he determined that he would maintain a 6% or higher body fat, and if it ever dropped, he would shorten his runs and eat more.
He never had issues enjoying food. He’s half Korean, and culturally, meat and seafood is prevalent in meals. 1/3 of my family is Korean.
At any rate, he had no eating disorder, just a high metabolism.

She came to our college, because our coach was reknown for really looking out for eating disorders and training anf counseling his teams to healthy thinking and eating. (Man. I came from Hawaii, which is highly multicultural; and traditionally in Hawaiian culture, big is beautiful. A lot of Hawaiian gals were/are tall and voluptuous, even overweight, yet graceful. At any rate. I show up for college in CA, and most of the females on campus were… a size 5 or thinner. Then, sophomore year, the student health clinic issued an anonymous 5 Q survey for the female student body. 95% responded. Over 65% had eating disorder issues. Between taking laxatives, throwing up after eating, trying to eat less than 650 calories a day…high concern/anxiety if 1 pound is gained). One gal I knew lived off of unpopped popcorn kernels. She would nibble at one forever.
Another gal I thought was a stick called me to her room onr Saturday. There was a Diet Sprite at her nightstand. She asked me to pray for her as she felt so weak. I ended up calling her sn ambulence. She ended up in hospital for 6 weeks. There were tubes coming out of her head. 💧 Her parents had to be flown in. She was anorexic and had dropped to 86 pounds. She was not able to return to college.
A third gal transferred in to our section and took a liking to me (of a platonic nature). We hit it off as friends. She dealt with anorexia, and began letting me in on secrets (of an anorexic mindset). Once, she invited me to a midnight study break at Carrow’s. (It’s like IHOP.) She called black coffee “tire water” and said she lived off it. Then she ordered cornbread. “Check this out.” With her fork, she carefully removed the thin top layer … that thin top crust that bakes darker. She nibbled that skin. Then asked me to have the rest. “I know I should be able to eat the rest, but I’m not going to. Please help me not waste it.”
When I realized that 2 out of 3 of my female peers were starving themselves, puking twice a day, sucking on popcorn kernels to wear a size 00 - 4… I no longer felt bad about being a size 8 with a curvaceous figure. … I wish we all could be free of anxieties which lead to self-destructive habits.

where is this man pulling all this bs from 💀 Yes some things he say are true, but specifically about the carbs. He runs A LOT so of course he needs a bunch of carbs to give him fuel. Protien and fat is extremely important and the fats will keep him from losing weight because they are much higher in calories, but he needs quick digesting carbs for energy if he is expending so many calories. And- Say what you want but vegetables do have micronutrients and studies have shown that if eaten in moderation then the nutrients will be absorbed. They only become “anti-nutrients” when you consume too much. lastly- Fiber is VERY good for you, as most americans consume so much processed foods, that if everyone were to try and focus on whole foods (yes veggies too 😐) then the obesity rates would drastically decrease. Fiber has been shown in many studies to increase satiety and reduce insulin rise and can just an increase in fiber a day could be the difference of becoming diabetic. I’m not saying all that you are saying is wrong, but I do disagree with a lot that you say, and shouldn’t be so scared of other whole foods like vegetables and fruit and that having bread and other “junk” food in moderation can all be a part of a healthy diet. Only restricting yourself and never allowing processed foods WILL give people Eating disorders
