It needs wider tires, not "flatter" or lower profile. I think Mike's Duramax needs smaller wheels but similar sized tires (width and overall height) like the old Raptor. That allows the truck to handle off road bumps, mud, rocks, etc a lot better. Real tall (lower profile tires) are a trend (cough, cough, Mike) but they really suck for off roading compared to a meatier tire with a little more side wall.
@CAM My family is the opposite in terms of ford. Every single gm except for my dads firebird had major problems, my mother has only owned ford minus 1 Mitsubishi. My dad has 3 dodge and 1 ford right now and all are good no major problems. I've had 3 fords 2 currently and I've had my fair share of things go wrong. My truck was used as a work truck and needed a lot of work because it wasn't taken care of. My mustang was also neglected so it needs work. But what do you expect with vehicles from the mid 2000s.
DEFINITELY get some footage of the Duramax being tuned! Lots of us love to hear the tuner talk about what their seeing, what's usual or unusual etc.. Keep up the good work!
Mike, find a place that can do oil undercoating for the truck, it’s amazing how much it’ll help prevent rust. Also, there are plugs behind the fender wells on the bed that can be popped out and should soak all of that with oil too to prevent the bed wheel well arches from rotting out like all of these chevys do. You can thank me later 👍🏻😁
I got a 2000 pathfinder 5 speed and it probably takes about the same time to 60 but I still love it. When you got other toys that are a ton of fun you don’t need something fast for a daily. Just comfort and still enjoy banging gears

Kinda give a better perspective on things for people that may be on the fence about either one??

He could take the light bulb out of the Dakota's glove box and solve the issue that way. Then he can still us the cupholders...and there's always the handyman's best friend, duct tape.
That cup holder coming out the passenger dash is a 2 grand option in a Lamborghini Huracan and it’s a big deal in a 911 but it’s in a regular cab Dakota !!!!!!!
Mike you should upgrade the gearing ratio for the axles to make up the huge wheel and tire combo Calculation (New tire height x stock axle ratio) ÷ stock tire height = new axle ratio needed

My only gripe for the Colorado is that for the almost same price, the Silverado has the same mpg/more power and more interior space and more towing if needed

According to Chevrolet the Colorado gets 16-26 and the Silverado gets 17-21. To me that’s not a huge difference to make the Colorado more of a better choice. I do like the Colorado’s look better personally. Especially the midnight edition. But for the high price, I just couldn’t justify it. But that’s just me

To enable drift mode on the zr2 turn on off-road mode, press and hold traction control button to remove stabilitrack, lock rear diff, and floor it!!

Guessing Tacoma as the best competition for the ZR2. I gotta 2018 Tacoma Sport and it’s a great pickup.
Look into head studding the duramax...with all the added power it will save lots of headache down the road.

the only problem with the mid sized trucks is that you'll only see 4-5k in discounts where as the half tons get 10-12k off

Take the silvardo cam it new oil pump springs stage 3 porter heads 243 spray a 200 shot on it would be bad ass with a 4x4 launch with 6/8 cnotch drop
Look at boost auto parts for the 2015 style key fob it works for a 2003 so u can have a new key fob
