Nice video and I liked explanation at the end for those who don't know. Also the ZR2 only tows 5000 lbs even if you get the diesel. The regular Colorado with the Duramax tows 8k. If you try to tow 8k with a ZR2 you will crash or brake something that will not be warranted since you exceeded the trucks certified limits

The towing capacity is only 5k for the ZR2. I suspect because of the softer suspension. You should correct this in your video.

Thanks for sharing this video of my favorite truck and "Dream" truck as I have said multiple times before, and doing a comprehensive review of such a BEAST. Yeah it's interior isn't as luxurious as the Raptor, but it has all the basics covered and the job done. A mid sized truck/Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator is the way to go for off roading in most places, it fits in places the 8 ft wide Raptor doesn't nor the RAM Power Wagon. When I worked for a Chevy dealer in western PA we did take it up a steep hillside and it was AWESOME. As far as the price, you can get a gaser for 43-46k depending on options, an optioned out Colorado Z71 is 38k so you are paying 5k for the Multimatic DSSV shocks, the better All Terrain tires with those not so basic wheels, the front bumper and rear, along with the rock sliders and the locking front and rear diffs so I say that is a bargain that would cost you much more like you said in the aftermarket market and comes with a factory warranty.
I much prefer the 3.6L V6 since it is punchier and faster than the Baby Duramax. The V6 would be a better dirt runner and faster and more fun on the street the Baby Duramax is better for rock crawling, long trips with its better fuel mileage, and towing especially uphill with that 369 ft lbs of torque. So obviously test drive or see if you can do a follow up review of a diesel one if you are interested. Oh and small correction the ZR2s only tow 5,000 lbs regardless of engine, because of the suspension and less aerodynamics. The standard Colorados tow 7k for gas and 7700 for the diesel. The Raptor is the off roader that tows 8k since it is a full sized truck. Once again thanks for sharing this sweet comprehensive on and off road review Mike, makes me want it even more if that is possible.

Also, higher GVWR, so it’s actually legal to haul more as well! Not to mention it has solid axles, so most likely a heck of a lot better off road than my truck!
