I fear more about Chinese car manufacturers like BYD cuz just like the mobile market they will conquer the Indian auto sector as well. Cuz the specs are top notch and their investments in R&D is remarkable. Plus they control maximum lithium reserves as well.
lithium reserves are not the main problem.. the problem is how those lithium are transformed into batteries and cells... India have better quality and more lithium reserves than China.. we just need good battery manufacturing and R&D facility... recently many Indian companies have auctioned on the lithium reserves.. like Ola electric, Vedanta etc etc
It is because they can sell their cars at cheap prices and have all the latest techs in it which they had to learn from Tesla. This is the power of population of a country
