You'r civic was definitely at least 10 times better engineered than this german countdown bomb, if i had to drive it for 10 years, I'd go for the civic anyday. I'd just go with this if i only had to use it for a month. And i say all of these despite the price difference.

Honestly, i just see your videos to get sort of the feeling of driving a car. I got a huge passion for cars, and i just can't wait to turn 17, to get my licence. But until then i'm stuck with your videos. But tbh. your reviews are good, especially the pov part of it. it gives another important dimension to the review that others miss.
really enjoyed how you did did this particular video particularly, no traffic, early morning sunshine, the particular road you chose, your description of the vehicle highlights, tone of voice set the perfect mood for the review of the RR...
What’s amazing is that it can be even nicer with the extended wood trim option, the whole dash becomes a veneer or natural grain wood, spectacular.
100% this spec feels like a RAV4 everything inside looks so.....cheap lol

I’m surprised you didn’t take this out on the usual Daily Motor Test Route like you usually do with other cars, but this was still quite a nice surprise! I’m looking forward to Charlie’s Members-Only Sound System test too now. Great Job as always Chris!

This looks cheap and nasty and reflective as well from the centre stack. Certainly not something worthy of a Rolls badge.

The most unreal thing about this vehicle is just how low the road noise is compared to every other vehicle you drive. It didn’t matter at all that you had a cold. If anything the quieter talking made it even more relaxing.
The outside of the car is very beautiful but the inside leaves me wanting more. It’s very nice still but it looks a bit outdated (mainly the infotainment and center stack).
i think rolls royce goes for timelessness when they think about interior design. they want it to still look good 20 years from now, i think this will age nicely. as opposed to like the new S-class which probably won't age as well.
@@myemailiscool looking at it from that point of view I understand! All the tech they put in cars now, if one thing messes up 9/10 everything else will too.
@@MichaelA.2499 and knowing rolls royce it'd be like $10k minimum if something electronic on the interior broke lol. could be rolls royce owners care less about tech, i've noticed bentley is better with modern tech, they could have younger buyers maybe.
@@myemailiscool Except that it does not, the interior design already looks outdated. The only thing that is keeping it "timeless" is their choice of materials. Everything else, including the screen and infotainment is outdated.

Hi Chris, this was fun; certainly the closest I will ever get to a Rolls. As I am not among the 1% I will just continue to drive my 2017 Camry LE on my Target and Aldi's runs, and if it rains I will just have to get wet when I get out of the vehicle!

Gonna wait for the black friday sale on this thing. Heard last year it was $100 off and I missed it.
The outside looks great and I'm sure the ride is unmatched, but the inside is kinda "meh" for a $400k vehicle. It just seems... bulky I guess? It doesn't seem as sleek and modern as other manufacturer offerings. It seriously gives me Ford F-150 vibes lmao. But I won't bash it too much cuz I can't afford it anyway haha.
Whether we can afford it or not is irrelevant. I completely agree the inside of this car is underwhelming for its price point
When i think of Rolls i think of ultra luxury with expensive wood grain everywhere and plush carpets . This looks like half of it is plastic from kmart lol

You can make any car feel good on the Road. Upgrade the suspension and tires on just about any heavy car and you'll be set.

I would never be able to tell that this was made by BMW~~ What a fantastic car.
Technically it is not made by bmw because it is made in England however bmw provides the drivetrain and screen system,but with that being said bmw’s influence and contribution are very much still controlled by rolls Royce including the drive train.
This car or two of my houses haha. This is a different class I can only imagine.

Is the steering not too low geared and the engine sound at higher rpm too “thrummy” indicative of poor breathing from camshafts tuned for best low rpm torque ?

This thing looks like a Rolls Royce car and a Range Rover had a child... not exactly sold on how it looks. Also this somehow qualifies as a "station wagon" here in the US, so its bound to the same taxes as a car and subject to the "gas guzzler tax" that SUV's and trucks are exempt from.
And I agree with you 100% on that digital display. Looks like something you'd see on a BMW motorcycle. Not sure what they were thinking there. You get all this "luxury" inside and then they put this lackluster display on it.

I hated the design of this thing when it first came out and still find it ostentatious but it's grown on me. It definitely has that RR presence. That being said, if I had enough money to buy this, I'd rather buy two or three nice cars for the same amount.
I know of a Cullinan here where I live (Austria) which the owner is trying to sell right now. The thing has a Mansory package with orange Hermes interior, outside is (painted, not wrapped) purple matte. I swear, if these things weren't known, you would think this is a riced out shitbox mom's SUV with dorky rear doors opening the opposite way. 460K € used..
Also, the rear of the Cullinan would actually be quite nice imo, but the headlights alone were a huge step back to the previous generation. But hey, to me RR is for old people or pimps anyways 😁
@@luke1811 That last statement is very true. I would also add new rich to that list. Most Cullinans I've seen are either bright colored or murdered out.

analog cluster in RR: thats what we call an Epitome of Luxury. These analog give a proper retro and classy vibe

Goes to show that just because more money is pumped into a car doesn't mean it gets that much nicer. I'd rather have a decked out Lexus SUV.

I hate the analog design of the gage cluster I feel as though it doesn’t work well with the flow of the overall interior design. I feel as though there should be more options as far and the cluster goes like in the Cadillac Escalade 🤷🏽♂️

All the chrome on the interior is nice and all except for when it’s sunny out and you’re getting blinded by the sun’s reflection on every surface of the interior 🤣
