      Demeter was eaten by her father Kronos and grew up in Kronos’ stomach. Tantalus had the cooks make the stew out of his son’s flesh so when Demeter ate the stew she was almost doing the same act as what Kronos did to her.

      Yes, definitely learned something new. This is the first time I've ever heard the claim that Tantalus was king of Phrygia. Every version of this myth that I've read claims that he was king of Thebes. Still, very well narrated and the panels are well drawn. Splendid work my friend I look forward to future episodes.       It isn’t that farfetched, Tantalus said so himself it’s the greatest sacrifice. Kings are often prideful of their lineage and the most valued members of a family are the father and the first born son.
      Not to mention the meat is a luxurious delicacy.
      Put two and two together and the best meats would be the flesh of a royal family member with the blood of gods in them.

      Well, I'd say it was mostly because his idiotic son (reppeatedly) violated the laws of hospitality. Xenia was a big deal for the ancients in general and for Zeus in particular, in his role as protector of the rights of guests and all that stuff. He also clearly hated it when someone tried to outwit and make a fool of him, so...
      The fact that the meal was related to him is pretty irrelevant, considering that he has eaten family members before with no hesitation or remorse.

    what if he did this..
    When he was hungry the punishment states that the fruits will be out of he's reach. What if he grabs the fruits before he's hungry and eat it later.
    The water will go down when he he'll reach it. What if he reach the water with his hands? (the hand was under the water)

      According to the story, he was always starving and in deep thirst. No break periods...ever. And if he tried to reach for either, they would go away. So regardless this man was bound for limitless suffering

    I kinda like the version where Tantalus was banished from olympus for stealing the ambrosia. Due to that news spreading, he was mocked by his people even by his very own family. He got so angry that deviced a develish plan as a revenge. Inviting Zeus and the other gods to dinner serving his own family. Then Zues threw a thunderbolt at him after finding out the truth of the disappearance of Tantalus' family and the fact that what they ate was human. Bringing up their trauma caused by Chronos, by eating them. Thus, one of worst punishment ever was created.

    I feel like some of these stories have a truth. What if the Olympians WERE true in a sense. We know some cultures worship their kings AS gods. Maybe there was a Zeus and other Olympians who walked the earth.

    I had to do a poem about him and have props it was fun I had a stick with an orange tied to it. This was for English class FYI my teacher was Greek 😂
