I disagree with Rob. The moment we allow Government and private corporations to dictate what we can say and where we say it on our own private time…we’re done. There is no way that a person should be beholden to a corporation 24/7 and having the threat of losing a job.
Unfortunately this has been a thing forever. It’s a code of ethics violation. What I do privately can definitely end my corporate career, if its can show the corporation negatively

Rob is right. In the end, it's always about money!
Exactly. Gay people come to football games too. The NFL does not want to lose out on that money because of some clown and his religion. Chris is speaking about tolerance going both ways as he defends a guy being intolerant of the LGBT community. Make it make sense. I don’t see gay people having pep rallies about how they don’t agree with Catholics or Christians. Religious people are the most intolerant people in the world.
Always !!! This isn't a country it's a CORPORATION and they keep removing the mask and exposing this truth!!
its not about money for the irreligious. the irreligious are perfectly willing to destroy the society that the nfl depends to instill their immorality. if the nfl was to survey of how much of their market is dominated by people who are about the trad value that the kicker is rocking, it wouldn't be close. NFL is fan base is very trad. from tv, streaming to stadiums very trad.
Yup bottom line
As exactly right… All these owners treat women the exact way that Harrison Butker allegedly does by the LGBT community, and yet the league is still running just fine

Y'all supposed to be journalists, listen to the whole speech
I’m shocked they didn’t listen to the whole speech prior to doing a segment on it. You’re right. That’s being lazy journalists on their part. I get that they’ll probably say they didn’t need to listen to the whole speech to pose the debate question they posed and sufficiently argue about it. But had they both listened to the whole speech, perhaps they could’ve had an even deeper conversation about the “controversy” surrounding it.
I agree that what Harrison said is traditional catholic beliefs at a Catholic school. But Rob's point is very fair, businesses will fire anyone for harming their image and eventually bottom lines. I don't think the practice is fair, but this is capitalist America so that's how it goes.
I like your comment. They wont fire the good players. He is very good so he wont be fired.
Correct. Harrison Butlicker said things which are a fireable offense. Bashing women like that, and adding Catholicism gatekeeping that if you don't hate gays and women's reproductive rights you aren't Catholic..
Plus, Harrison had a gay fling with a male cheerleader in college. Who is he to judge.
Then fire him and many people who support him will stop watching the nfl.
Company makes the rules. If you don't like it, leave. This isn't brain surgery.
The NFL harms its own image all on its own. They hide all the crap some of these players do also
He also got a stand ovation from everybody in the room.
Most of them but not all I can guarantee that. When one listens to a speech one doesn't pay attention to everything in real time. Afterwards I'm sure there were some more upset than during.
I listened to the whole thing. He talked about women not being influenced by agendas if you wanna be a mother fine but he also said many of the women here will have successful careers. He talked about men being leaders back in their household and how they may have contributed to the increase in violence not being leaders. He talked about bad leadership from government and Catholic Churches and being strong in your faith to change ⛪️.
That's right. And those are the main issues leftist/globalists have with the speech. Has nothing to do with what those who find fault with it claim. It's not what he "opposed" that bothers them. He didn't oppose anything, really. He spoke from a religious/spiritual POV. Its what he stood up for that bothers them. Those ideals. Which are good and decent as anything else but attacked by many nonetheless.

The best part has to be reading all of the paragraphs and bars posted by people who support him, trying to mansplain how people, especially women, who are offended, should be feeling about their own feelings about his statements.
Based Chris. He is right. If most of the league is religious being Christian, Muslim, or Jewish, how could they try to censor his speech if those beliefs overlap all those common religions. The moment you start controlling speech off the field, you are in big trouble. I don't practice any faith, but Chris is right. If it's not physical violence or threats, it's a slippery slope to start picking what is ok based on political beliefs or ideology.
That's the thing. Most modern members of those religions don't have uniform beliefs in that regard.
The problem is White Christian conservatives are trying to apply their beliefs to everyone.
there doesn't need to be a direct threat of violence from the speaker. as we've seen time and again, painting a group of individuals as "deadly sinners" can definitely have the effect of riling up the radical religionists to commit serious violence against those individuals. it's called hate speech, and the u.s. has ample evidence of how hate speech can turn into violence against the hated.

calling people "deadly sinners" is hate speech full stop. which can and does lead to violence against the hated.
I completely agree with Chris
To the people arguing that this is a speech for and to catholics they should read the letter responding to the commencement address from The Benedictine Sisters of Mount Saint Scholastica. Even some catholics including the pope don't agree with this conservative dogma. Haven't seen Chris this animated over a topic in a while. Team Rob on this one.
These guys should have listened to the whole speech before commenting on it. The women staying at home tidbit was probably the least controversial thing he said.
Rob shows he's a spineless company man through and through every chance he gets.
He’s talking about what it is, he’s not disagreeing
That's not nowhere near what he is.
Chris said "Bashing women is great my religion". What did Rob say?
Rob is a hypocrite bcuz he still got to work making racist comments about rg3
We're a capitalist country, that's how it goes.
I stand with Harrison
"I'm a proud bigot."
You stand with ignorance and bigotry
Same here. Blacks need to quit being pawns for the new world order and reject degeneracy.
What's ingnorat about it?@@brandonchristopher9657
@@brandonchristopher9657it's not ignorance to stand on your faith he wasn't talking to y'all who got upset at this😭🤣
Did yall see where the actual City of Kansas City dozed Butker's home address for this, then tried to apologize...sick 😮!
This channel should be called Two Blind Squirrels.
If someone said something racist Chris would not say “well those are just his views we need to agree to disagree”
But for the other ists and isms people should just let people be.
Pure hypocrisy.
Comparing racism to disagreeing with someone's choice of lifestyle is ridiculous
@@adeoluwa86 religion is a lifestyle choice, one that is forced upon you by your parents and culture, but you have a choice to keep believing in your imaginary friend.
@kelvinarauz8132 yes religion is a choice, but what does that have to do with comparing racism to someone disagreeing with your lifestyle choice?
@@adeoluwa86 first of all, being gay, trans, etc is NOT A CHOICE, that's your ignorance or blatant bias on the subject speaking. second, calling an entire group of people "deadly sinners" is straight up hate speech, and we've all seen what violence comes out of hate speech. see racism. see sexism. see anti-abortion radicals.
@laz0rama being gay is a choice, and you're the one that is completely ignorant on the issue. Comparing being gay to being a member of a particular race is an unbelievably ignorant thing to think or say. There are numerous studies on both sides of the fence when it comes to sexuality. You cannot do a study on race being a choice.
Brou believes all the same things and good on him for standing up for his traditional values. I've never been religious but we need them more then ever.
I hear Chris applaud his wife and daughters professional and academic achievements far more often than being wives and good Christian women.
@@SmartDave60maybe because they arent wives yet
@@BlackedOutDreams his wife is a wife.
@@BlackedOutDreams I think a lot of this is performative.
Chris would never give a speech like this KC kicker did.
I know about his wife’s career and daughter’s academic achievements far more than how devoted Christian family oriented women they are.
We all want the same things and having these Stepford wives ain’t part of it.
No backlash at all. Millions support him. Look at his jersey sales :) great speech
The NFL will take Taylor Swift over this dude any day. They want to increase eyes on them not decrease it. It is about money.
He has the right but he can’t be free criticism though Chris.
I'm cool with criticism but he shouldn't be fired. Ppl will always judge our beliefs
Chris B has a god complex. He is always using religion to make batshit crazy statements. He would sell his own race out for a spot in heaven.
@@chrisallen3333correct
Everything he said was right
@jdmarti100 you're right.
Chris was emotional here, rob was right in what he was trying to say
Chris was also right
Chris is a faux Christian. He picks and chooses when he uses religion.
No.
rob was wrong this time but yeah
Right on Chris, keep standing! 💪🏾🙏🏾💪🏾
If he wasn't a football player nothing would have been said publicly
Diversity and inclusion does the opposite of making things "stronger" or "better". It just waters things down
You're definitely painting with an awfully broad brush. Diversity for diversity's sake isn't always productive. When it gives opportunities to qualified people who have been historically locked out of the process then it's ok.
when people talk about diversity and inclusion, they mostly seem to be talking about FORCED diversity and inclusion. one might be a value or principle, the other is authoritarian behavior.
My level of respect for Chris 6 minutes and 15 seconds in just sky rocketed . I may change my mind sometime throughout the rest of the the video but , Chris , you got my respect my man . Spit that hot fire . That’s what we call FACTS .
What about kapernick with the kneeling?
We stand on truth ✊
Interesting, that Chris Broussard isn't cancelled yet...
Because he's professional and respectful of others' beliefs while not hiding his own?
@@bernyourhart He's an intolerant hypocrite who only uses his religion when it's convenient.... I guess we have a difference of opinion.
