Noita is a magical action roguelite set in a world where every pixel is physically simulated. Fight, explore, melt, burn, freeze and evaporate your way through the procedurally generated world using spells you've created yourself.

so true
"So what's special about it is that every pixel is simulated..
and.. that's really kind of cool" I am sold
Damn it... I was scrolling through this message as he was saying it
So it’s like the powder game but it’s a terraria roguelike? I’m sold.
Oh, you are also a cultured man, i see?
Loved the powder games
Powder games are amazing.. I play them att on my smartphone... Since 7 years when I got my first galaxy s2
You should check out this game called WXsand if you haven't already, it is a powdergame that lets you code your own elements. it had alot of mods in the past, and some are still findable if you quest around on the forums.
it was made by this person named Owen Piette, who also liked beekeeping. anyway, if you cannot find it, hit me up, i have the last two versions saved. the last version even has options to add multi pixel objects to the game.
also it had temperature, allowing for temperature based reactions.
Dev tries to explain the game, everything turns to chaos in less than 90 seconds. I'm sold! :D
Sorry about my erratic mouse movements :)
Nolla Games you would make a great osu! player

I didn’t even notice! Loved the video!
thank you for the demo this is really cool and I hope more devs add this kind of 'simulation' to their games.
Nice i will come back to this when i have played the game to criticize your gameplay one day
Megumin there are exploding wands
I'll be waiting
Bruh can't believe he really used the WAND to shoot an oil canister 🙄😤😡👌 noob developer
Best part of being a developer is that no one can backseat your developer logs until the game comes out.
Haha classic internet.
A mixture of roguelikes and Powder Toy.
Damn that's a good description
Damn that's a good elevator pitch
there was a game named "liero" in middle ages when i was young and this reminds me that game but super better
Wasn't expecting that nostalgia trip
tää
I've played that.
Haha, was just about to comment about Liero. Loved putting a bunch of spikeballs in dirt wall together with booby traps and nukes for complete destruction. This game seems really cool
YES
1:45 Would be cool if the vapour condensed back into water.
Edit: I should probably watch the video before commenting lol
Yeah it's really cool to see it behaving so realistically
I don't recall seeing that in the released game, though, but I think steam clouds have disappeared, so maybe I just haven't noticed it or it's a lot slower.
@@DonnaPinciotsteam clouds do turn back into water try evaporating all the water in the holy mountain ull see it rain back down
Going back to this video after 4 years, and it still emits “wtf did I just do” energy.
That’s how you know a game is good.
Make sure you add modding support so people can make some Clonk-esque terraria kind of game :D
YAS
And with enough support makes the game infinitely more popular.
Seriously devs ALWAYS GIVE US A API
Nostalgia just kicked in, yo!
@@heydoeradio7298 "Where's the modding API?" - Yogscast, like 5 years ago I think about Minecraft
you are the first person I hear using the term Clonk-esque and I 100% agree.
dont forget to support modding so the game can have custom maps and weapons and stuff!
Yeah, just imagine all the cool spells people can make
A wand which auto shoot cows
oh god, just imagining the adventure maps is awesome
Multiplayer deathmatches with randomly generated maps. Big Yes !
Depends on what they used to write it
Hi, I am someone who has purchased and played noita and I can say firsthand that it is everything that this video promises. The pixel simulation is top notch, the combat is fun and engaging. And the game offers many opportunity’s to make very tactical plays.
Thanks so much for this quick intro! I can't wait to see more stuff, and actually get to try out the game soon!
FANTASTIC game. Just bought it and can't stop playing. Hands down one of (if not the) best game in the last 10 years. Great work! (Edited) and thanks for the tips in the video, I like how you used the environment to destroy enemies.
game: *does a thing*
petri: aaaAAAAAaaa-
moi Petri.. been following your work since those monthly releases on Kloonigames. glad to see how far you've come and it's inspiring on my own gamedev career.
Noita is an incredibly impressive game! I played "The Swapper" back in the day and loved it. I'm glad to see you guys are still going :)
One of my most anticipated games, loved pixel simulations of the old Finnish cave flying games during DOS era.
Also thank you for the amazing GDC talk.
Omg this is the game I wished for since the powder game
check my reply under the top comment, there i list some games you might like..

I am really glad to start seeing full videos of this game. I have been pretty interested in it since I first saw it at E3 2018 and am really looking forward to playing the Early Access. - I have a feeling I am going to put plenty of hours into this one.
Love the walkthrough and hilarious reactions to getting attacked and almost killed a few times! Cannot wait to play this!
Been waiting for this game for quite some time. Happy to see it finally release.
I can't wait to finally play it. Looks really fun! Good job, Mr. Dev!
This looks amazing, great job so far!
Awesome format for a dev video, I enjoyed it a lot. Can't wait for the release.
I am so hyped for this!! Amazing job man, rlly looking forward to play It :D
Can't believe a pixel game is my most anticipated game of the year.. great review too and looking forward to play the game myself! :)
This is like the spiritual successor to Cortex Command and blending it with Terraria and making it roguelike are the two smartest moves you guys could make, thank you for this, instantly subbed and belled
So excited for this game! Post more videos like this!
its kinda cool to hear how proud he is of is work, well done dude!
Imagine a multiplayer PVP version of this

I've had this on my Steam wishlist for ages! I can't wait!
It nice seeing how some small changes have gone on, like the holy brick textures
Amazing! So impressed, excited to get this.
I hope this is going to be viral indie hit! Awesome emergent gameplay!
Been following this game for a long time.
Been excited for it for a long time.
Gotta say... It's looking just as good as I had imagined. Good job guys!
Don't stress, take it easy, take good care of yourselves.
Nice to see more of the Game. Since 2018's E3 i almost forgot about that Diamond. im looking forward the Early accsess!
This looks amazing. Thank you so much youtube recommended!
I love everything about the game.I really hope you add more to it.
This game is great, really..it's fantastic :)
Noita is one of the most ingenious projects I've ever seen
You didn't see much
Noits is a ripoff of a famous 1990s game called Liero. Exactly the same particle simulation and destructible pixel world. Everyone played it in the late 1990s. But I still want Noita because it is obviously expanded from the original idea.
@@BenderdickCumbersnatch it's not a ripoff because Noita is a roguelite
@@BenderdickCumbersnatch you need to learn the meaning of the word: ‘inspiration’
@@BenderdickCumbersnatch Its frustrating when people miss use the word ripoff
I've been waiting for this game for a while :)
Can't wait to try it out!
This game is poggers I'm addicted to it now this game studio makes such amazing experiences.
Great game, already have over 150 hours and I've only made it to The Works once, this video really sold me on this game, it really feels like a different form of chaos each time you play
Hyvää settiä jätkät! Ehdottomasti ostan early accessin
I used to love those sand reaction games! Definitely going to check this out!
Wow this looks incredible. Looking forward to it.
It's like Liero had a child with Terraria. Maybe even Lemmings. Looking forward to launch!
Looks super polished and I love the graphics
Well, love this game! Thanks for doing it, it is appreciated! I'm a gaming veteran and have played pretty much ALL games in history, I started when video games were brand new. Due to this, I really hate that boring and meaningless concepts get 2000 sequels and iterations. This is a breath of fresh air, a physically more accurate world, where everything is simulated. It is a lot of fun to play, especially when everything is in flames. Now all that is missing is pressure waves: Explosions push objects away or material flying through the air. But I don't know how hard that would be to do. It is a great game as it is.
Fuck it, this game is wonderful. You guys created a masterpiece, can't wait to see the new stuff.
Damn 🔥 it's so good, can't wait to see more of these ❤️
Awesome gameplay! Made me want to play it!
I love procedurally generated games. Will definitely check this one out
Looks unique! Looking forward to it
This is amazing. Will you do videos on the tech behind it? I'm secretly hoping this kickstarts a new genre ;)
I like the direction games are taking. Physics based game worlds, raytracing, simulating instead of guessing stuff.
I have seen playable demos where a whole 3D world is made out of destructible voxels. Now, first games with this concept are appearing like this one. Raytracing was a nice demo a year ago and now some indie games do start to support it. First render demos appear of in game objects breaking and ripping with the percision on the molecular level like they would do in real life.
It fills me with joy when I think about how games are going to looklike in to years.
legit this is just a normal gameplay from a normal youtuber but actually is the dev, I love it
He sucks. And that usually means boring level design and no challenge
Love your game it’s incredible! Thanks for making the game I always wanted I just want you to add split screen :D !
Love it to see the dev having fun whit its own creation
So can I edit the levels of oxy/fuel, for example, to create an exploding spell? Something of the like?
Impressive physics. Looking forward to this. Perkele!
This looks incredibly cool!!!
This looks fantastic! I'll be picking up a copy.
Wow looks awesome. Glad I stumbled into the trailer
This game looks amazing!
Thank you!
That looks so cool, love it when there are physics, and chemistry involved like in the very over looked game on PS3 Vessel.
Is this coming out on consoles too?
I'm really looking forward to your game. It looks beautiful and very fun.
Cool concept, definite seems to be inspired by the power physics simulation type games. And the element of rpg side scroller in that type on interactable world is just rad.
i am amazed how this can perform so well with so many physics stuff
The "underwater" sound design at 5:31 is great!
This looks great!
I really hope that you'll add more playable characters in the future!
I would love to see guns, melee weapons, and other exotic weapons that might violate the Geneva convention! This game is a one of a kind!
"You're an angel witch, You're an angel witch!"
Beautiful. You guys are showing that Finland certainly hasn't lost the ability of making great games (with FrozenbyteGames and their upcoming "Starbase")!
Environmental destruction reminds me of Zombotron Flash games, which reminds me of enemies being hostile to each other.
I really hope we get to see that also?
Ok I found out the enemy vs. enemy aspect's there
Let me give you my damn money, can't wait for this
I’m in love with the physics and idea of the game. I never knew I needed this in my life until now.
I’ve always been a huge fan of sandbox games. This takes the cake. Do you plan on making a mode that allows you to play with the games physics/items enemy free?
this game reminds me of the sandbox. a table then pc games about differents materials and interactions, it's pixelly looking and REALLY REALLY look the same, good for them, the sandbox was amazing to play
Looks Hella Cool can't wait
This game is a masterpiece ! Congratulations to the devs of Nolla Games !
I remember over ten years ago, there were web pages of "hell of sand falling" and other simple simulators. There were stick figure zombies and stuff like gunpowder. I remember spending hours creating model fireworks with long fuses and chambers of gunpowder. Was that you guys?
There were a bunch of creators for that genre. The originals you're thinking of were generally Japanese creators, so probably not these people, but there were people from other areas who made their own versions.
This game looks incredibly cool! I will definitely check it out!
Just bought this and it's big fun so far, my main concern with the game is that level design will have to be good enough in such a way that it really lets you play around with all the different physics and reactions in fun and interesting ways.
This seems a bit like Pixeljunk Shooter and Risk of Rain had a baby, then that baby got coated in blood because an enemy pissed it off
i actually saw thsi game on reddit, i fell in love with it right that moment.
Excellent video! thanks!
This concept is awesome
Since Liero and Clonk have already been mentioned, I also wanna bring up Cortex Command, which had similiar pixel physics! Love your project, will get it when it hits EA.
Good to see how far the game got
I can't wait for this game!
Thank you for making the greatest game of all time
:o I haven't seen this kind of technology since LEMMINGS :o
Nice!!!
I'm 100% in on this! Love it!
Finally, at least one physics game like in the cortex command.
Love the idea! What engine are you using, or did you guys write your own? And what programming language are you focusing on? Keep up the great work, and I hope you'll turn this game into something amazing once it's done. Not that it's not already amazing as it is!
One week until launch! I'm sooo looking forward to buying this!!! :D
Ever since i got it like a month and a half ago i've put nearly 150 hours in. Beaten it Twice and died in a multitude of random, Fun and usually explosive ways. Its bloody amazing.
These types of simulations in a 3D game like Skyrim would be Mind Blowing...... but this... this is super cool, really looking forward to it.
Wow this is very impressive and incredible
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen
