the bigeneration scene changed things forever. i could not pick my jaw up for ages when i first saw it
thats because it has destroyed the entire dr who ethos.
Then it's a good thing that it's a, possibly, one time thing. The 15th said it himself that Bigeneration is supposed to be a myth, never meant to happen, so it could be possible that it was just a fluke at best.
In his one full episode Ncuti had without a doubt proved that he is The Doctor and I think the era of The Doctor and Ruby Sunday is going to be a spectacular watch!

I'm a 56 year old cis American male. I've gotten pretty bored with Marvel, DC, Star Wars to a slightly lesser extent but I'm still excited for Star Trek and Doctor Who. Been a fan of the Doctor since I discovered him in Starlog magazine in the late 70's, a decade before I even saw one episode.

Get into “dune” . Or Asimov’s “foundation” . “Star Wars” These are novels I been into for years I can’t even count , it’s no end which makes me question there creativity . It’s very skilled . My spiderweb . Aka my biggest curiosity is Stephen kings universe . This is a puzzle to be solved and I’m deeply into it , but all his movies are connected and considered in the same verse .
I were so sad, when Toymaker lost. He is the main character of the show in my perspective.

So far I like this doctor better than technically the last one the Woman: not because oh "women can't act" it's because the writing has went downhill now it's picking itself back up steadily so hopefully fingers crossed they do this doctor and the series justice!!

I'm going to blame sound engineering and mixing for the difficulty understanding what Ruby and the Doctor are saying. It's been a chronic problem in media. Please try harder. (And no, the accents aren't the problem. But enunciation might help as well).

I started watching in high school with the doctor with the bright and unbelievably long scarf, Tom Baker, but I want to go back in time to the first doctor.

Honestly, are the complaints in the comments ANYTHING but blatant racism? Ncuti looks absolutely fabulous as The Doctor, he's clearly so much at home in the role
honestly though i have barely seen legitimate criticism about Ncuti, only one comment once who personally didn't like his acting which i can respect because that's at least a proper complaint? most of the haters range from thinly veiled racism in the form of "why is doctor who woke now" or whatever or just simply hating on him for no reason which again i don't like to assume but it's not a great look

People can whine about more obvious progressive values and retcons and quibbles and bibbles and babbles all day long. Maybe sometimes things are too on the nose, or changes in some lore isn't necessary.
But as long as that timeless sense of wonder, adventure, cleverness, and pluck is there, that's what counts. Ncuti, go for it, and luck to you!

It hasn't been released on physical media here in the United States, either. I think it's part of the deal with Disney+ being exclusive distributors outside the UK. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and bought the UK Blu-Ray set, but it's region coded.

That required a great writer.
One of my favourite things in fiction is when someone has a bad story, then later a better writer comes along to make use of that story to tell a better one.
My go to example is Spider-Man's clone saga, which was used as inspiration for the finale of the 90s animated show.
Nucti will be a amazing doctor and he's shown that in the Christmas special.

I think Peter Capaldi should have been the last Doctor of the series. Because with him we saw the most realistic and darkest aspects of The Doctor. Everything has an end and The Doctor should have ended with Peter Capaldi. The Doctors after him are similar to The Doctors in the seasons before Peter. I would also like to remember Michelle Gomez as the final version of the Master.
