That episode was perfectly fine. Its literally no different than any other episode from S1 and S2. Mando and Co. Want something. In order to get that thing, he needs to do another thing for someone else.
What's the different between that, and going to Tatooine, meaning Cob Vanth and demands the Beskar armor. Oh, he can't have that armor because Cob needs Mando's help first dealing with a Sand Dragon?
The Mandalorian has always just been a Saturday cartoon brought to life. Yet, people place way more integrity on this show. Just doesn't make sense. The show has always been goofy.

That's cause he was busy securing one or two of his clones. He didn't want anyone knowing this, as his higher ups have no knowledge that he was doing such a thing. It is also safe to assume that these clones would naturally acquire the same amount of his memory as before they were constructed. I would imagine that he was sick, and that he knew he had no time left to live, thus being desperate to have Grogu's genes himself, for his clones if not for himself. As Grogu's lineage ages slowly (somehow), I can imagine Moff Gideon wanting his clones to rule for eons after his death.
Either that, or he escaped once more, leaving one of his clones to fend off Djarin. I wonder how many clones he had, other than the ones shown to us.

I think my favorite part of this show this season was when the Mandalorians ran out of fuel in their packs chasing a giant dinosaur bird thing, then when whats his nuts flew INTO SPACE and had enough fuel to FLY INTO SPACE, because apparently they licked that whole fuel issue in the time between episodes. When the watch was on their own they didnt have much resources and probably not much fuel. They were getting bullied by wildlife and didnt even have a ship until Bo showed up. When they meet axe's crew hes fully stocked and has multiple mando ships and an imperial flagship. One could logically gather that they have much more fuel than a cult barely surviving in a desert.

God there are so many things to roast about...
    1. Gideon's antagonistic character is just.... cartoony..... His death was funny as fuck as well, like "Ahhh I'm going to die in the fire!!! I feel so warm!!! AHHHHH"
    2. Why Bo-katan and Armorer didn't die during the chaotic fight scenes?
    3. Somehow Mandalorians who were dashing to the earth didn't collapse with the TIE Interceptors? I mean the camera didn't shift right?
    4. And Disney, you are telling me that Mando just somehow ctrl + delete Gideon's clones while Gideon just waiting in another room without any means of protecting his clones? Not even an encrypted password or something? Wow. Moff Gideon is such a cunning character who doesn't know how to set up a fire wall for his clones.
    5. Is Imperial Rems serving Palpatine or just a bunch of gansters? If serving Palp, then Palp is going to have a problem with Gideon's Force-sensative clones isn't he?
    6. Mando's new house in the suberb looks like a open latrine.
Anyway, Mando Season 1&2 = [dedication with deligent efforts]. Mando Season 3 = [ ]

Not sure what is worse the now infinite jetpack fuel, Mando unable to deal with a couple of Beskar troopers that Paz was mowing down left and right but managing to handle (with a little help from Grogu) the same three guards that killed Paz at least in the second fight, or the fact that once again he had to be rescued multiple times or that half the episode story arcs literally had nothing to contribute.

Paz got his fuckin Laser Gatling Gun and he is build like a fuckin Mountain from Game of Thrones, of course he can easily mowing down those Beskar troops. and to be fair, Paz already tired and out of breath when fighting with those 3 Praetorian Guard, thats why he was easily killed. where is your common sense dude?
Those 3 Praetorian Guard main enemy is always a Force user, skilled Fighter like Din Djarin with the help of the Force from Grogu, of course they both manages to defeat them. without Grogu, Din Djarin almost die few times to those Praetorian Guard, Grogu literally force hold a sword that was almost chopped Din's head off. and without Din Djarin help, Grogu is also almost die. so it takes the combination of skill fighter and Force to beat those 3 Praetorian Guard.
about the Jet Pack thingy, if you damn pay attention when Paz and Co is chasing those Dragon, they been flying for more than 20 or so minute before, running out of fuel, as Tech used to say: "I thought it was obvious".
one other thing, when chasing those dragon, Paz probably only had like quarter or half of tank of gas. they we're caught in a surprise, no time for refuel before chase.
While Axe Wolves and everyone for obvious reason, have his jetpack gas in full because they going into the unknown, they try to retake planet Mandalore and possibly expecting a battle, thats why they have full jet pack.
      Fuckin common sense, bro.

@@scaryghost5721 I love it when people counter with idiotic arguments and pull stuff out of their asses and just make shit up. Literally nowhere in any episode did they mention whether they were full or half full of fuel...nowhere. You are literally lying and making stuff up.
It would be excusable of if one or two fo them ran outof fuel but none of them had enough fuel which is why Bo had to follow the dragon in her spaceship. Duh! Where is YOUR common sense DUDE? Stop white knighting for inconsistent writing. For f sake the Lizzo episode and the scientist storyline that went nowhere are ample evidence enough that these writers are all over the place.
Din fought multiple Beskar troopers in melee combat before he encountered the Pratorians so you lame excuse of "Paz was tired" doesn't cut it especially since up to that point he was mostly using his giant ass gun. Seriously, did you even bother to read your own post before you put up such illogical and ignorant BS?

And yet it exposed the rest of SW production as a bunch of hacky repetitive storylines that hinge on fans going "oh my gawd I remember that! I wasn't as angry at the Finale as you were lol. I think this entire season was hit or miss, and the finale was no exception. The Finale was better than most of the other episodes in S3, but it felt rushed. I was also kind of disappointed Bo-Katan and Din didn't share any words before he took off. They had seemed to grow so close...
If they cut out the b/s, and invested more into that relationship, I think this season would have been better. I am not a shipper, but in this case I made an exception. Bo and Din had each other's backs in so many ways, Bo saved Din, and Din saved Bo..and then they worked together to reunite their people and reclaim their planet.
With all of that, it just felt weird they shared no words after the fight. In fact, I think the last words she says to Din directly was, "Go save your kid."
Also, as for the naming convention...Paz Vizsla of the Vizsla clan. His son, Ragnar. Truly it makes no sense for Grogu to be Din Grogu...

3.5/10 is generous. This writing is horrible, ep. 7 and 8 are awful, everything is nonsensical:
Mandalorians land on THE PLANET and they find other Mandalorians who followed Bo Katan before.
They know where the forge is but it's not discussed during the day, they randomly bring it up when they are about to depart? This doesn't make any sense.
They bump into troopers with beskar plating I guess but they are useless and Mandalorians get scared.
Mando is captured and is left with his armor and helmet while Bo Katan watches and doesn't use edgy saber to help him, instead she uses it run away and leave 1 man behind. 10 Mandalorians run away while 1 guy kills all of the troopers and is taken down by useless guards with sticks.
So if all of Mandalorians stayed, they would've won easily.
Mando escapes cause he's fully armored and 2 guards escort him and Grogu comes out of nowhere. He takes down couple of guards with ease in retractable shield area after destroying clones with press of a button and confronts Gideon.
That fight was so cringe especially cause Gideon had his glowy stick and could've killed Mando couple of times but he used flame fucking thrower which is cringe.
There is a lot more stuff, this is just what came to mind after watching it. As bad as it was, I would honestly watch Lizzo episode again over these 2.
People are praising Jon and Dave for some reason but they are awful writers. I had some reserves for Jon since he had some really good movies but everything he wrote lately is bad.

The catalyst for the show's issues isn't the writing per se. It's the fact that when you have shows on a subscription based platform, you are further incentivized to push out filler content. The only good episodes were 1, 7, and 8, and there was a lot of filler and redundancy.
With all that said, if the rumors about what happened with the Book of Boba Fett are true, and that Favreau came in at the eleventh hour to try to rescue the show by inserting Mando season 3 episodes in place of Boba Fett content that needed to be removed and rearranged, then I give Mando season 3 a pass. You know the butcher scene with the Klatoonian gangsters in Book of Boba? That was supposed to be in Mando season 3. And notice how Mando was without Grogu there.
I do not think Favreau is going to stick around. The franchise is on thin ice IMO.

Diet Snark. I think Jon Favreau is out, Pedro Pascal is out (he's been upset about the helmet thing since season 1 - and he's basically a voice actor on this show) Considering the ratings dive that the Mandalorian took - and how expensive these shows are to produce - I dont think there will be a season 4.
To counter Kathleen Kennedy, I dont think Star Wars fans have Star Wars fatigue. I think they have Crap fatigue. They're tired of seeing characters that they've admired for their entire lives being crapped on by Disney... Luke Skywalker, Obi Wan, Boba Fett... All victims of Disney's discrimination against Lucas Film legacy characters... Notice how trashy the Book of Boba Fett and Obi Wan Kenobi shows were in comparison to Andor? Andor had set decorators paying attention to every minor detail in the background (particularly thinking of Luthan's Antique shop) and Obi Wan had IKEA chairs on the space ship....

This episode was just one rushed conclusion after another:
After all that buildup in the first episode about how IG-11 can't be repaired unless they find this super rare part, Din just finds one in a random New Republic outpost.
After all the mystery of what Ghideon wanted with Grogu, Mando just finds his clones in a random hallway (this series copies the Kenobi formula of characters finding things in random hallways while going somewhere else, but this one's even worse because these clones are supposed to be a secret and they're in a hallway everyone would go through constantly).
Mando destroys the clones in seconds. Somehow. They don't even explain what he did, there's just buttons and water and now they're all dead (which they should have been anyway, disney forgot the breathing masks AGAIN). I actually thought they survived and were set loose, until Ghideon said they died.
Even the final fight, Ghideon just suddenly gets hit by the explosion and dies. There's no build-up or big climax, he's just fighting them one moment and dead(?) the next.

This episode was predictable and had a lot of cliches‘. I feel that it’s just recycled content.
Axes Wolves flies away. Mind you, these jet packs were pretty worthless when they were hunting one of the many dinosaurs on the show. The flying dinosaur with the delayed hunger response.
Axes Wolves was communicating; however, it was inconveniently raining and the signal went bad (reoccurring).
The dialog is simplistically useless and they love to verbalize their thoughts. „A Cave“; „We are being attacked“.
The armorer has her fake-British accent that is inconsistent.
R2D4 can fly! He just do happens to find a convenient port to mate with and his size fits. If a base is going to have these ports in random hallways; you would think they would also use firewalls and a decent password.
The end of Season 2 those Robots were almost indestructible, except for Luke Skywalker’s attacks. Why change the design? The Bescar Stormtroopers were easily defeated. Moth had a lot of time to develop Bescar troopers and clones of his 64 year old self. They just happened to open their eyes (predictable).
It was lame that Giddian narrated his plans before their battle.
Oh, Yoda can use the force again. Why didn’t he use it on the previous episode? It seemed like a ripoff from the ending of Boarderlands 2; the FORCE Field.
Where did all these Mandelorians come from? The last episode there were about 30. This one had tons of them?

There are so many better and different directions this story could have gone. The speculation that the Armorer or Axe Woves was an Imperial spy was intriguing and kept me coming back. I was hoping that, with both the Armorer and Moff Gideon having the horns on their helmets perhaps Darth Maul could have stepped from the shadows as a new antagonist for the series. What happened with the Beskar stuck in the Imperial shuttle and why was it relevant? I was hoping the last two episodes would have redeemed Season 3 but it was not the way. It felt flat and just like what had been done before.

Pffft. Seems like your theories didn't pan out that's why you didn't like the season finale. Your theories are based on nothing. Seriously? "Moff Gideon has horns on his helmet, the Armorer has horns on her helmet, they must be working together!" That's why you're not the writer of the series. That is a very shallow idea, strictly childish fan fiction rubbish. It's not based on anything substantial.
You do not know about the beskar stuck in the shuttle? Simple, Moff Gideon was rescued by his beskar wearing troopers....sheesh! That was so obvious.

    • @jaydonmagan4694
      @jaydonmagan4694 Před rokem +2

The Armorer as a spy wouldn’t make any sense to her character, especially since she’s killed multiple Storm Troopers and has shown no connection to Gideon at all. The only issue I’ll say there is that episode 7 shouldn’t have been called “The Spies” as the only spies in the episode were offscreen informants who told Gideon’s spy about what the Mandalorians did to the pirates.
For the Darth Maul thing, he’s dead, dude. Obi-wan already killed him in Rebels. He’s not coming back.
Also, the Beskar stuck in the transport ship was already explained. Gideon’s troopers are wearing Beskar armor. They’re the ones who broke him out. Now you can question how one of them lost a piece of Beskar, but it’s pretty much confirmed that Gideon’s Beskar armored Storm Troopers are the ones who rescued him.

  • @will3710
    @will3710 Před rokem

I have no problem with the finale. My issue is that they should have led with the plotline of taking back Mandalore from the beginning, instead of wasting episodes with side plots that were dull and went nowhere. I'm ok with THE Mandalorian being sidelined by Bo Katan, because she is instrumental in uniting Mandalore. However, they should have set that up FROM THE BEGINNING. The dialogue continues to be clunky and stilted, and really some of Moth Gideon's moments are wasted with redundant dialogue --- such as Gideon expounding on the destruction of his clones, which we can clearly see from only ONE SCENE BEFORE. That dialogue could have been used for so many other things...or a bluff that he has more clones, temporary setback, etc.
The writers/creatives may have taken the wrong lessons from Andor, when I think what sets the Mandalorian apart is that it tells a much simpler story. It's strength is it's simplicity. I understand what they were TRYING to do with some of Season 3, showing us some of the cracks in the New Republic through the inefficiencies of its bureaucracy for example, and showing the deviousness of double-turncoat Elia Kane --- but do we really need to devote 1-2 episodes for this?

The Mandalorian is actually my déja-vue for GoT. I got so disappointed.😏😏😏 not even episodes 7 meant anything to me. It was like too little too late. Then, we had that crappy finale. Similar to GoT, we waited 2 year for the season and got the biggest piece of crap!😏😏😏😏😏
