Yeah, when their drummer lost his arm in a horrific car accident, other drummers were lining up almost immediately wanting this man's job!! But being the kind of brotherhood this band had together, they all said, nope not gonna happen, we're just gonna kick back awhile, let our bandmate recoup and wait for him to heal and do what he does best, which is figure out a way to play his drums and continue to play with us!! If this isn't loyalty then I don't know what is!! 🎶🎶🎶

Brad - you are 100% correct about the guitar work. I remember a very old interview with James Hetfield from Metallica where he was talking about their songwriting style, and one of the things that he didn't like about the music coming out of metal scene at the time was that it was mostly based around chords and melodies and "nobody was really riffing". So of course Metallica changed all that with their heavy chunky riffs all throughout their songs.

I don't think they could even legally drink in the US in this video. For me more then Van Halen they represented Hard Rock for me in the 80's. I played the hell out of their first four albums...and could sing most by heart.

This song (and the Pyromania album) is as old as me lol .. Us older milennials are probably the last group who have some faint memories of 80's and early 90's rock and metal as it was unfolding.. Kudos to both of you for keeping the passion for real music alive.. Long live rock \m/!

Between Pyromania and Hysteria it's hard to argue which of the two albums are there best. Difficult to come up with Two power house albums with chart toppers like these. Definitely made Def Leppard a house hold name

You are right Brad. They were a more melodic hard rock band versus others of their era. They had their own unique style.

The drummer has his arms , so it's very early introduction of the band and when people started to gravitate to their sound and song. No matter this band was the biggest band in the 80's , I mean big in sales and hits and followings.
