It is amazing to me that he wrote the lyrics and music to every one of his songs and helped to arrange or arranged them himself - and his voice brings those creations to an audience to a concert with a major orchestra like this at the Noth Sea Jazz Festival. Devoted to music is Gino Vanelli sees the lyrics in his mind and has the chords to go with them before sitting at the piano and writing. Very great music, great composer, writer, singer. The man is one in a million.

The GENIUS of Maestro Gino Vannelli was never more obvious than in this performance. His updated "Jazz Orchestra" arrangements made his most memorable compositions absolute works of art!!! ❤♥️❤

Gino is a musical genius. A spectacular artist. What a voice
I go back to albums from the 70's ,( Storm At Sunup), certainly one of my timeless classics , this concert is simply outstanding,the musicianship and music arrangements are classic , Gino Vanelli will always remain a cut above the rest for certain ,that distinctive beautiful voice unmatched by few .
Storm at Sunup got me hooked all that layering of synths before polyphonic keys I even stayed in Montreal just to be close to his home base I got to meet guys who worked or knew him even had my haircut from his dad

It's never too late! I'm a 77 year old male. I play keyboards and enjoy a variety of music. I have just recently been introduced to Gino's music and I am now a fan. He encompasses so many great musical attributes. I'm only sorry it's taken this long for me to discover this extremely talented man.
Do not forget his Brother Joe , and play away, music is the language of souls .
Keep on spreading the word! We hope he will be doing this in 2023!

Had to listen to King for a day about 6 times or more, cause I love fast syncopated singing, but the percussion was frog-gin' unreal, ..the sax so rewarding, as well as strings killing it, everything was just over the top on this. So bought the CD. Love my Ginnelli man, fantastic orchestra and conductor! Way to go. Lot's of pleasure experienced.
This is greatest entertainer that I've ever seen that is so deserving of so much more than what he is given credit for. There should be a huge gap in at least the SWHOF that could be only filled by this man. I think he is deserving of the ROHOF. But what do I know. Everyone else's loss. That I do know.

I've been watching different live versions of Bro to Bro and I must say this is my fav guitar solo.
We have seen him live 2 times and believe me it was SPECTACULAR the performance and the sound quality.
It was 2 times in the Netherlands in the concert hall the Doelen Rotterdam, he is a perfectionist, but do not forget his brother Joe !!!!
By the way the North Sea festival was something absolute great, many years ago, late at night a lot of musician started to jam in the round room, we have seen the greatest under the greatest, that was the time it was in den Hague, 35 years ago or so .
O my we are getting older !
And we are listening to Gino for i can not remember how long.

Oh Dear me you do not have the least of the idea how rewarding has been to me to be able in watching & listening to this post of yours or may you have a vague clue by my following words: I've been experiencing Gino since 1975 when I first knew about him thanks to Ambar a friend of mine in my very fresh universitarian days when she introduced him to me via his vinyl "Storm at Sun-up"LP and from then on I have become gradually a careful listener to his lyrics that captured me since then from his earliest ones, so profound and poetic. In fact, what brought me here into YT a little more than eight years ago was the expectation to find some of his most beautiful themes to down-loaded them perhaps even a little more easily plus rapid because as you may know back in those days it took ages to download just a simple song-unit in the then free-platforms available. Now, you can imagine what an enthralling musical journey experience had it been for me since I found the YT platform to watch them move, sing and perform live, such a fantasy to watch, feel and sense them even breath had been so authentically and genuine a reverie [now depending from G+] that is why I need to thank YOU for this complete upload from this concert from which I knew only some excerpts here and there, throughout these years, all of them gems yet leaving me in the purest of longings to know it as a whole. At that time I still leaved in Netherlands and was around 17, I'm so greatfull to CyberMiguel (Thanks !) this guy berce my early years listening to the various Albums from Gino coming up on after the other Powerful People, The Gist of the Gemini and the great A Pauper in Paradise, Brother To Brother and Nightwalker, I've them all and now will re-discover them again..
