Elms Village is the perfect place for starting your Queen’s experience. Nicely situated just off the Malone Road and purpose-built for Queen’s students, it has a chilled-out community atmosphere in a beautifully landscaped area just a ten minute walk from the Lanyon Building and Students’ Union.
The Treehouse is the hub of the village. Here you can watch Sky Sports or play a game of pool or table tennis, and you can even bring your own alcohol. it has a convenience store, a lounge area with computers, and all-important laundry services.
There is a free tea & coffee bar which is open every day from 5pm to 11pm, as well as a computer/study room with printing facilities which is open 24 hours a day during exam times.
Accommodation is split into eight smaller areas such as Sycamore Park, Ash Avenue, Rowan Gardens, and a range of bedroom types are available to suit the needs of a multicultural student population.
There are different lifestyle options available including: Quiet Living, Single Sex or No Alcohol. There is also an option for en suite rooms.
One of the highlights of living in Queen’s accommodation is that the price includes bills - heating, electricity and hot water are all pre-paid. The maintenance team is only an email away, so if you have any problems with your room, bathroom or kitchen, they will sort it out as quickly as possible.
Residential Assistants are there to help you settle into university life. They also organise trips at the weekend - a great way to see more of Belfast and Northern Ireland.
Queen’s University’s historic, city-based campus is set in south Belfast, just a 15 minute walk from the vibrant city centre. Travelling to and from Northern Ireland is easy and inexpensive.
