Once you get Penta fully upgraded with max clover, I believe you gain more XP from the gems it creates
@@brandonkruse6412 ya, you get bonus xp if you evolve it, but then it's not Penta anymore ;)
I'd also be interested to see the math on when the bonus xp makes up for xp lost.. guess the pro gamer move is to rush the evolution anyway most times.
Or Game Killer when you miss with the XP bombs

It's a very nieche one, but is extremely fun on Porta and Ambrojoe.
So fun little fact about the Reaper(the red one): It has an ANTI knockback effect. This is why it always magnetizes to your character.
it has negative knock back. meaning when you hit it, instead of going away the reaper gets closer every time

That's really funny, and also helps facilitate getting the evolutions of Laurel and Clock Lancet to take him down.
(They're not actually required with hard-coding, it's just that the combo of their effects is the perfect storm for making the encounter as trivial as possible.)

The info about getting a super charged red gem was so useful! I couldn't figure out how I'd suddenly get 5-8 levels.

13:40 garlic is what I call a zoning weapon, it’s not doing massive damage but it is clearing the weaker mobs out of your way letting you kite the more dangerous stuff and if your good at stutter stepping you can also use it to help damage bosses.
23:05 to be more specific, it multiplies healing from items you pick up off the ground. the bloody tear is unaffected, but the hearts from soul eater are. also it still gives passive regen
bloody tear is unaffected but meant to be affected, or in other words it's meant to multiply everything but doesnt do all right now

coming from magic survival this game was totally up my alley but it has some very mainstream-feeling mechanics, the fact that its f2p friendly and has a lot of secrets and items to find makes it special. totally deserving of the 2023 indie game award in the play store that it won.
Gatti Amari is the second strongest base weapon, becomes stronger than most evolved weapons, and actually becomes worse when evolving because the eyes do not do catfights. When you get high luck and attack/projectile speed, they crank out damage zones that do magnitudes higher damage than Santa Water and carry you through even max curse Bone Zone
They killed me though, I used it and they do damage to me. Normal was fine but I got a card that doubled them.
It's also the only weapon that is more likely to end up killing *you* early on.
Gemini or never picking up the stone mask is the only way to get the most out of the cats.
Words can't describe how addicted I am to this game.
It was looking pretty bad before I found this game.

Can't thank you enough Dex. Your advice, don't run...fight worked the best. The very next game, i made it past the 3rd stage, advanced a whole bunch of weapons and maxed them out. Also got to hyper mode.👍

I wanted to get back into this since a lot has changed and I felt stuck in the unlock process, hoping this will be the breakthrough I needed.
My favourite strategy is to start with the secret random survivor with its random starting weapon and pick up the next 5 weapons i come across and evolve them
I watch a lot of videos from The Linux Experiment channel and you sound exactly like that guy, which threw me off throughout this video.

i accidentally found this game on my phone and I was hooked then I found out it was on steam!! SAY WHAT!!! Definitely a hidden gem of a game. I love the aracanas so much powerful combos

This is a great guide for beginners and experienced players.
I just started playing this weekend. Really great info on the red gem thing i had no idea why I'd get 5 levels at a time sometimes. I've only cleared a few levels but I've found that's it's so much more important to focus fire a few upgrades at a time instead of fill up your weapons and accessories too fast at level 1. I dunno if that's what y'all experts do but it seems to work well for me

Since it was mentioned here, it is true the pentagram is terrible... However... There are some very clever mechanics that make it the most broken weapon as well, since it will always do the max amount to ensure the kill. Like for example, one of the DLC characters totally ignores all cooldowns and instead the cooldowns are based on how much youre moving. This DRASTICALLY reduces the cooldown of the evo to the point that it will *CONSTANTLY* fire off, literally keeping the screen clear of both enemies and experience. Not only that but theres an arcana that can make both moon and pentagram that much more useful by adding damage areas on the ground at random (along with garlic, clock lancet, attract orb and a few other things. That build is insanely fun imo P:)
I've actually not used Limit break yet at all.
The reason being I wanted the coin bags off of post-maxed level ups to get more gold off of a stage.
that accumulation red gem saved me i was about to get a maxed out vandalier but i got stuck and my unholy vespers were not gonna hold them back for to long and i noticed the red gem and i just so happen to have laurel so i rushed to it gained 5 levels and maxed out vandalier 4 times and got like 1 upgrade

I love when i have so much projectiles on screen i can just walk through the walls whithout effort and lose all cliping entirely

It used to be the debug mode in the game, but that no longer is a thing aside from heavy modding

It's the Wicked Season arcana. One of my favorite too :)
With the powerups, if you were to fully upgrade might, does it automatically give your characters more might to begin with, or is it more per upgrade whilst in a run?
I liked learning the game without any help, but this video would have made completion much easier

I was listening to this video and you mentioned that you should try to get all breakables and then you mentioned a few. I am having trouble finding where that was in the video and i thought only the flames were breakable items. What are the other ones? I'm only at the starting area.

Here's a tip, don't add area to ophion with limit break! It'll expand outward and stop protecting you, eventually pushing outside of the spawn zones and becoming useless.

Me just managed to power through the red reaper and got the reaper mimic character and yes the victory took a lot of chicken

You're not alone. I have the image of Poe swinging his balls around burnt into my brain... Balls that hang in the water if you're sitting on the WC, and if you aren't careful when flushing they are hard to retrieve. If Poe would walk naked, his balls are way behind him on the ground. And he probably trained fighting with them, imagine a kung foo movie training with balls...
Swirling balls of steel, the strongest weapon out there! And that's all without any area bonus, that's the point where my imagination stops working...

@@stormchasingk9 You just need some imagination, i sometimes see it almost like an overlay. Poe swinging his balls like Bruce Lee swings his nunchucks. Sounds inclusive...
But a powerup like this would really be awesome if it was possible! Maybe a passive item with Bruce Lees head, lvl 1 to 7 could be a bit cooldown, speed and might with specific weapons, and on lvl 8 it gives garlic a different evolution. From low area damage to high single target damage(could be pretty fast so it melts normal enemys) maybe? Or a flurry of balls and high area damage in front of him?
Would be cool if that was possible to animate, then it could be a nice mod!
I have to stop thinking about Poes balls...🤦♂️

What’s inside the chest is not determined when it’s dropped. It’s when you pick it up. So if you want to farm out that last level to fuse your weapon it’s advised

i know this is a shot in the dark but with the recent release on xbox game pass i’ve been playing and i am unsure of the inputs required for toasty too be unlocked i tried plugging in a keyboard but mashing the down key and enter did not work when killing the green reaper on the dairy factory, any recommendations?
You don’t need a keyboard for cheat input on console. Theres a box of letters you can select with a controller in the secrets menu
Get the forbidden scrolls of morbane from the sketemari boss in the bone zone. The sketemari is marked with a question mark, similar to the coffins. It will give you access to the secrets menu, which will tell you how to get the secret characters and also allows you to type in secret codes.
Oh, and toastie has a cheat code. You can find it in the wiki, as I don't fully remember it
I do not know how to get to all those menus in the mobile version. It says it's the full game in the app store. Is it worth getting on PC?

hey @Dex... i recently started streaming this game and as a basic call of duty simp i gotta say its been very addictive. SO FUN!!! this (and elden ring) is the first game i played more than ten minutes in the last ten years. i discovered the game thru @asmongolds video (BIG D*CK GARLIC!) but after a couple of his hilarious vids you started popping up in my YT recommended and i very glad you did. your builds are bananas! im not smart but i follow your explanation of the mathematics involved even though i dont understand what your saying. my current PB is just over 20 minutes with Galarro. i realize im late to the party but im glad im here.
