Great list! Some of the gadgets I never leave without:
    - Thermarest Z-seat folding pad, keep it clipped to my pack for whenever I stop, and it makes a decent pillow
    - Thin goatskin leather gloves are just enough to keep hands warm, protect from scratches and thorns, and pick up hot pots off the fire without burning myself
    - SeekIR USB-C thermal camera for my cell phone, for checking on things that go bump in the night, and spotting cold air traps in hilly areas where I wouldn't want to pitch my tent. If you carry a regular camera this is useful for spotting animals you'd otherwise miss.
    - 8x36 Vortex monocular

Though the little pocket bellow is definitely nice to have. When you need to stoke a fire and get it burning better.
I found a old (and broken) selfie stick and cut the end off that holds a cell phone. And did the same thing for the handle piece and then put a small piece of heat shrink tubing on the tip so that it doesn't end up cutting me or something else in my backpack. Not only is it a little bit bigger in diameter I'm pretty sure it is also longer than the one you have been using. Plus I left the red rubber handle piece on the end to make it easier to find and one of the attachments on my FlexTail air pump. Fits perfectly on the end of my selfie stick pocket bellow, so I put that in with my air pump.

I don't recall if you've mentioned the Govee before and that's why I have one (two really), but there's pricier gadget from SensorPush that includes a barometer if you want even more data. I've been using these in tandem on the back porch when I'm not camping and they are almost perfectly synched. They are so sensitive to temps, I've seen spikes in the morning when the sun gets under the eaves where mine hang for a few mins and they jump when I've got a fire going nearby in the fire pit.
I notice on the Flextail Zero that all your shots show the nozzle untethered, but I found that little flat loop on the end goes around the body just fine. I assume that's what it was for, but who knows.

Of all the gear you've shown, the one I've had for years in the Pocket Bellows. It's such an essential tool that not only do I have one, I give them as gifts to my friends who hike/bushcraft. Simple, easy, and stores in your pocket. It does the job. The only reason I don't use one at my house is that I have a hollow metal broom handle that serves very well as a bellows or blow tube for my own fires in my backyard. I have the pocket bellows when I ruck up and hit the trail. It's always in a breast pocket. I will say the little inflation pump is really attractive. For some reason it's passed my notice. I am still waiting for my Zero Pump that I Backed, apparently its been held up in customs or something since December 🤷‍♂️ anyways.. yeah, I am looking forward to that and will for sure be making a video about it for my channel when/if it ever arrives!
Love your channel Dan, keep doing what you’re doing, best wishes!

Me too. I don't believe the customs crap, though...I think that Indiegogo link Dan had back in October is a SCAM! Said I would've received it back in November, so far NADA!

Best backpacking knife is a neck knife CRKT and Essee Izula make great ones. Easy, quick access small size. No undoing hip belt, or pack searching required. Thank Dan great video.

If you're on a budget, I guess. I can tell you're not a knife person. First, you can easily get an attachment to mount your fixed blade to your shoulder strap so it's stationary, whereas a neck knife tends to bounce around. I use neck knives on occasion (including an ESEE Izula 2) and it gets annoying. Or if I'm hiking, it's mounted to the strap and then becomes a neck knife when I'm at camp and take off the pack. Second, CRKT is never the answer to any knife question. ESEE is good for the money, but better if you get their S35VN, though they're known for their 1095 which has pretty awful edge retention. It's well worth it to spend a little more and get a far superior blade, especially if you're thru hiking

I bought that Flextail pump from their Indiegogo project last fall. Still hasn't shown up. I hear you can order from their website and it does ship like you'd expect. Not good communication from them over the months and the project is full of similar comments. It makes me question the company. Sounds like a good product, though.

Ordered mine directly around Thanksgiving, just received…it only shipped after me clicking link like a stalker, JMO. Thought it was crap, until I charged battery and squeezed nozzle into valve of my STS pad. They do need to work on timeline of order and shipping. 🤷‍♀️. I only ordered because my tiny pump’s attachment never stays on.

That Firebiner doesn’t work in humid environment. So when it’s wet bring the backup option, for example matches. I store my matches in UCO case and it’s never failed.

I have the toaks 750 ml pot with the bale handle and I hate that it catches on other gear. It also makes a terrible cup, if you like to use your pot that way. The attachment points are right where you would drink on this pot, at least on the toaks they are on the same side as the other handle.
