- I replaced the plastic oil tank, with a new and way better aluminium tank. In this video, I show you the installation.
Follow along as I rebuild, repair, and upgrade a Challenger 2 ultralight airplane. Ultimately I will be flying this airplane into the north country of Canada, on fishing and camping trips, as soon as she is ready to fly.

That tank looks much better than the plastic one.
I think so as well.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Looks much better!
Way more streamlined. I like it.
Great video. Glad Bob is a big help to you. He is a great guy, I have a filter if you need one or a spare I'll never use it,
Thanks for the offer, but one is already on its way. Cheers from Winnipeg.
Ah, hope my idea of a go kart fuel tank led to this purchase of yours. Lol. Are you gonna be using that wooden prop? If not. Could you do a video of why your not gonna use it and the difference between the two props if your not gonna use that wooden one.
I plan on using the wooden prop, it's the correct pitch and size for the Challenger 2 on floats. It's not going to win me any speed awards, but it will get me off the water in the shortest distance.
does that tank got a VISIBLE WINDOW i didn't see that... Curious how you know what level is ? Maybe as a add on you could add a Level thing in and add it to your dash so you can monitor levels while flying ???
I has a level tube on one side.
I’m not sure that I like the drain plug as a fill cap. The chain will flap in the wind which would annoy the crap out of me. Besides that thanks for the video.
I'm going to make a sleeve for it as well as one for my fuel cap chain. Like you, the rattling would drive me nuts. I figure a cloth sleeve would reduce movement, and eliminate noise on both.
that tank is SWEET, did you buy or build ? if i was as smart as you I'd Buy a TIG WELDER and tinker with welding Aluminum.... And idea If you welded you could have made something for engine crane to take off and put on engine by yourself.... I KD8MZD ( do you do Echolink Ever ? it also has app for you cell to connect ?? )
