Yes, I think it's a fair comparison to say that John's tweets in the year of 2011 contained roughly an equally valuable wealth of knowledge as the entire Library of Alexandria.
When you reference something and other know nothings come and also reference it after they looked it up on wikipedia. Great job, try hards. Tweets by youtardbers would not be worthy. They do need to be burned though.

One time my college students peppered their final project presentation with status updates I had posted on Facebook when *I* was in college, and it was both the funniest and scariest thing that ever happened to me 😳 Luckily they showed a lot of restraint with their selections, and it was a good reminder to me to check my dang privacy settings!

To be fair, that's just one joke, and it's a doozy. (Also, it's not his joke, and he'll tell you as much.)
My husband laughs at his own jokes so much that when he tells them, he interrupts himself to tell the punchline and then laughs so hard he can't talk. I love everything about it.
People act like that's the mark of a bad joke-teller, but I think that's the most entertaining way to present a joke.
Unless my wife has an alternate persona I'm only finding now, your husband isn't the only one. Pretty sure she has a different opinion about it, tho...so we can rule out the first part of that last sentence.

While great in concept, way too many people are willing to use a bad opinion you had a decade ago to ruin your current life.
@@MiuKujo It's not great that we live in a world where dumb words from our greener selves aren't always allowed to die, but maybe the best course is to compromise. Delete the awful things you wouldn't want to say out loud, now that you know better, but let the stuff that's simply embarrassing remain with the rest. You can acknowledge your past by keeping most things, but also respect your future by preventing the need to have a stupid conversation with someone acting in bad faith.

Yeah, like imagine waking up in a Twilight Zone where the only difference is that Hank has looked like that the whole time except when he has grown the rest of his facial hairs or shaved his chin down to an ironic but still kinda cool looking soul patch, for Pizzamass or whatever takes its place in this universe, and this Hank somehow has the exact same energy and personality and videos (except with goatee) and discography and bibliography.

I adore how specific John is about the roller coaster analogy, a perfect metaphor that has aged exactly as described
John’s description of the excitement of a thing going from the joy and exhilaration of going up the hill to the somewhat terrifying experience of going down the hill on a rollercoaster is so beautifully evocative and captures the shifts in the social internet so perfectly.
Not all heroes wear capes! Even after 10 years you both come up in my classroom/s. Love your work!
this is kind of wild to watch because 2011 was the peak of my involvement in nerdfighteria and this is making me confront the fact that that was indeed 10 years ago

I recently found this channel (I've been following SciShow for years now) and now this is my go to place when I need a pick-me-up. You two are just wonderful.🥰
It is now exciting like when a roller coaster is stopped for maintenance and you are in the wrong place, it’s very scary, there is nothing you can do, you have no idea what’s broken or what will happen when it’s fixed but every now and then you notice something from a cool new angle before going back to panicking.
It's so weird that I remember some of these from a decade ago (the t-shirts, the stuff about the cover). Can't believe it's been a decade.
Lord I remember that goatee vividly, I watched and rewatched that Biology series so many times.

More and more, I am reminded of how similar Hank and I sometimes are, at least in some respects. Why did I bring that up now? We both seem to laugh at similarly odd times, and funny things to us sometimes aren't as funny to other people. Also, our level of laughter and tone of it is somewhat similar.
Is this too weird? Maybe I'm just making these comparisons because I long for the days when some of my friends and I can laugh at things we said ten years ago. Or maybe I'm making them because I had too much fun watching this video. No. Scratch that--"too much fun" does not exist.
The point is: you two just made my day with this joyful piece of home sapien life.
Oh, and that moment I referenced at the beginning made me literally laugh out loud, but more than that, contributed to this comment and was incredibly wholesome. And that was an understatement.
