What are you most excited for in this MASSIVE index?
Bladeguard Veterans and Aggressors. Honorable mention going to Adrax Agatone with a bunch of Assault Intercessors, though I wish he could go with Bladeguard instead.
Whirlwind. Potentially stopping 3units of infantries controlling objects sounds so fun and probably game winning

Upsetting chaos players when they wait till the end of the edition and find half their models invalid whilst space marines get a new primaris tactical squad with lieutenant (and jumpacks)
For me the secret sauce I think is gonna be maximizing all the buffs without any redundancy, since there are so many ways to get the same effects. Also being able to remove multiple units if your opponent tries to threat overload and oath is less effective. Love how interesting nearly every datasheet looks!
One thing ive noticed is that a lot of the weapons now have less shots. Centurions have a lot less shots with their flamers and bolters for example. Marines are good at single target destruction but mass hordes that have some toughness like orks are gonna potentially be difficult. We've already kind of seen it with the combat patrol batrep that GW did, marines were pretty outnumbered and didnt have the numbers needed to contest/hold the objectives
I think those became twin linked, thus halving the shots
@Tuur Derom the bolters on the centurions aren't hurricanes anymore and are only 3 shots twin linked with rapid fire 3, the flamers are also 1d6 and twin linked. Still hit like a brick in combat but shooting has been hammered

I hate this version of twin linked I was bad before I don't know why they've gone back to it.

So, I'm running a primaris Librarian with bolter discipline with 10 desolation marines. Librarian gives them a 4+ invul save and bolter discipline gives them sustained hits and makes critical hits a 5+ when in devastator doctrine. That's a lot of potential firepower being tossed out.
A apothecary biologis with 6 Eradicators. The apothecary biologis, which doesn't heal or rez (which sucks), does give my eradicators lethal hits. A good roll can dish out some serious damage.

Play 30 Desolation marines and a bunch of tanks lol.
Desolation marines in an Impulsor with shield dome. Flying around the board firing all their weapons off the back of the firing deck
I honestly am curious about a very Iron Hands type of army list, that utilizes vehicles and transports and dreadnoughts but is mostly led by a techmarine and a Apothecary Biologis. Having all of that firepower with high OC and being able to safely get to objectives would be great. Being able to self-repair rhinos, then healing d3 wounds to the battle squad units with the apothecary and also healing d3 wounds to all vehicles with the techmarine could be clutch. If the apothecary kills something, thats a potential 9 OC characteristic to just sit and hold objectives.
I think theres some potential there and id like to see somebody do that this edition tbh

So Ven Dreads are gone than? and can I model Van Vets any way I want because they are basically all the same? I dont want to have to pull arms off of every model again.
yeah, the only choice now is pistol or storm shield. technically 3 kinds of pistols, but they all look the same in a holster.

I’m confused, are the contemptor dreadnoughts going to be usable in competitive play? They have a data sheet in their index but GW banned them from competitive last week

@@EmceeMOTH No. It's not that all 'relic' models are not usable, it is a lot of forge world models or Horus heresy models. The relic terminators are plastic (non-forge world).
why not just give like a couple of 2000pts example lists to round up?
Do you think there are too many re-rolls already in this new addition? I thought it was one of the design features they were going to aim at reducing but it seems like everything has a re-roll.
There are fewer. Just not none.

Uriel can not be attached to erradicators
He doesnt have to. He can give deep strike to any unit, not one hes attached to
His ability can target any SM infantry unit, doesn't have to be attached to it to give it Deep Strike.
So by the sounds of it Blood Angels are going to be a low tier faction to play? With Fists, the smurfs and iron hands being strong?

Space Marins Leadership got a big nerf! How did miss that? Was Ld10 = to 3+. It is now 6+. That's like Orckisk Leadership!
First, throw out a load of your models?
I honestly think they need to rework Oaths of moment. Make it that one squad can reroll hit rolls and wound rolls in melee and shooting. Otherwise its just too op
So Lieutenants still pointless?
Lieutenants have their uses, depends on the datacard
@Victor DeSena the issues generally been that there's always so many better characters to pick but limited slots. it's more about what you aren't able to take that's sidelined them inspite of GW putting one in every box.
