i have router connected to internet and nvr connected by lan and only 1 of 12 cameras show up... they are meant to be plug and play seeing they are all hkvision cameras.. i just dont get it... why is the experience so bad from a trillion dollar company. They all have ips allocated by the NVR, all ethernet lines were tested as working. I just dont know where to go from here.
Will nvr work display to the monitor with or without the router without going to change ip configuration?
I would strongly appreciate your help. I have hikvision camera connected to the router and white IP address. Port is forwarded. I can see the video in my phone ivms4500hd through internet. But when I use same settings in my hybrid dvr (there are two ip channels available), then I get IP exception. Any idea? Do I must have dvr and ipcam in same network? Does it mean remote camera connect through internet is not possible?
Yes, if your ip camera not on same location, your ip address should have public ip address

The ip adress is now different on the system than that of the camera when it was installed should i manually edit the camera ip address?

@JeffThompson7 some case, password ip camera can be same with nvr, but the other case, can be different
