- Is soap bad for you? I stopped using soap at 13 years old because I was lazy and because I noticed it really wasn’t doing anything for me. But the reason I haven’t started using it again is because it turns out that soap might not really be that healthy for you!
Using soap to wash your hands is lifesaving hygiene that eliminates many common diseases, makes hospitals safer, and really is a foundation of modern healthy life. But when it comes to washing the rest of your body with soap… the marketing got ahead of the science.

i started for 1 week till now after watching some videos of people who stopped using soap. i only use water and a body sponge, i noticed that my skin becomes lighter and younger, unlike before my skin is dry and darker.
Yeah bro, me too... I'm also noticing that on my skin.. It is actually life changing
I have a really bad skin condition to where my skin becomes scaley and peels. When I stopped using soap, my skin has almost become completely clear.
Haven't used soap in around 15 years. Skin is baby smooth. My neighboor who recently just touched me told me I had baby skin. Well, I know. :) I'm 37. My skin is great. Not dry, elastic and healthy. I do use handsoap after going on the toilet. And soap to clean my dishes, etc.
Do you use soap to wash your armpits and groin? Do they not smell?
Do you use cold or hot water for bathing?
I stopped using soap in week and I noticed my skin glow more than I used soap. I can zoom in my face and see a beautiful and clear texture
then wtf we suposed to clean our selfs with what did you clean yourself with?
Just water trust me they didn't have soap or shampoo back in Jesus's day
@@shadow-iz1qr huh what about olay or dove is provided by dermatologsit
@operatorisrizzy I don't know about those but If a dermatologist recommends them then go ahead and use them
i can vouch for this. i stopped using body wash during covid because i was home all the time and didn't really feel like I needed it, and I noticed that after a long period of time of doing this, when I did use soap (even really natural/clean kinds), it made me smell alot worse than if I'd just used water. which tbh kind of bums me out because i like the feel of soap and all the scents it can come in, but i dont wanna throw off my natural microbiome or whatever that has adapted to not using soap
Just make your own bro. And add any scents that you want
My personal experience I was suffering with dry skin a lot but stopped using soaps and bodywashes and after 4 years my skin has been better than ever and there hasn't been a single day I smelling bad
So do you just rinse in the shower? Maybe it's best that I save my money and stop washing with body wash.
Great information. Thank you.
5+ year proud anti soaper here 🤚🏻
My skin always feels dry after using bar soap. And I only use shampoo once a week
I stopped using soap on my face. Can i use cetaphil gentle skin cleanser? Its not a soap
I’m going through this now and I’m noticing I’m showing super good skin why?? I use to squeeze a tone now I don’t same here about the pits
Natural soaps are nice
I only wash my hair daily and sometimes do a full body scrub every few months.
Washing hair daily is the worst possible thing you could do for your hair. Once a month with conditioner is plenty. It's the secret to having perfect hair. I don't even wash my hair period. There's enough crap in tap water to strip your hair.
Soap has been used since thousands of years (oldest soap factory in Aleppo is 1.000 years old). And boy, how do you wash off sunscreen?
you dont use sunscreen in the first place because its poison lol. Sit in the shade
I ditched using soap 4-5 years ago. I only use soap when I am dirtier than usual and I can almost instantly notice it changing how my skin feels. There is no way that using soap every single week can be anything other than unhealthy.
Has anyone tried this in a tropical or very humid climate? Like countries in the equator? How is your body odor?
i live in texas and we have had 30+ consecutive days of 100+ degree heat and i haven’t used soap in 10 years and have never been told i stink and i am always checking to make sure because im self conscious about it. soap is really unnecessary unless you work a very dirty job
@@mack2001xyou said it i had to say same thing for topic❤
he didn't said not to use soap just use it on armpits and other parts that requires it, the rest of the body just water. A bar soap lasts a lot of time for me
I live in South Florida and I haven’t used soap in over 5 years and I’m fine. Ya have to shower more here in general bc of the humidity and heat, but yeah. 👌🏻
@@jorge86rodriguezFunnyvthing is...thats using soap
In my experience, my stinky bits stopped being stinky after i stopped using soap. Simply wash with water and a little vinegar.
My sticky bits sounds worse than hairy bits😂
A dr said water gets you clean. You just wash your hands with soap after going to the bathroom. Like he said
I think if this guy was a mechanic or had some job where it require getting little dirty he would love soap
Ay Im starting today
How did it goes?
how did it go
I guess it is embarrassing to admit i don't use soap... but Its true.
I bath in water daily.
I use teatree oil under my arms in the bath.
I use soap in ***that*** area
Yea, I don't know about this one. Even if it is true, I like soap. I use this Eucalyptus body soap with moisturizer, and I like how it smells and makes me feel. I have also been in situations where I only used water for several days, I felt pretty grungy. Just because some random guy on the internet says something, doesn't necessarily mean it's true.
Even if it is a marketing scam by big soap, I am okay with that.
i don’t think i can ditch soaps. fragrance? maybe.
then wtf we supposed to clean ourself with oil?
Most people with oily skins have a problem with not using soap 🤝🏽
nopoo
Yeah no….i will continue to use soap for my whole body. My skin is smooth and soft and i have no issue whatsoever.
Reality:- if I wasn't brown, I would shower without soap
relate
so you having stopped using soap you just dont use as much soap...this guy
P𝐫O𝕞O𝓢m
So he doesn’t work with his hands try welding our concrete work and se if that works for you
Oh I definitely still wash my hands lol
Also you look fit and healthy , obese and fat people develop more stinky bacteria in the folds of their skin , soap is needed .
Gross.
Use soap.
Your poor partner
So if you are bleeding, or spill paint or roll in mud, you wouldn't wash your body with soap???? Okay, whitey. Nah, I will continue using soap.
That's different
Whitey?
