    5 Types of Prana are Prana, Apana, Udana, Vyana and Samana. Prana & Apana flow in the Central part of Kundalini. When asana, pranayama, mudra and Bandha are performed the knot in the navel is released Prana meets Apana and together they meet nadi Sushmana in the Centre. The Kundalini becomes active and rises upwards penetrating through the Chakras.

    There were different methods developed to clean nadis and awaken kundalini. Please read good books to know this knowledge. There are methods like kriya yoga that's more subtle and meditative which works on the subtle body where as hatha yoga asana pranayama bandha and mudras are more physical in nature.
