Another reason to use chill clip is the one shot for slow and two shots for freeze. This is the first ranged option to slow and freeze which can take care of both overload and unstoppable champs. Great utilty roll as well and as you mentioned, for dps as well

Explosive rounds' double hit counts towards rewind rounds, so you're able to get the full mag auto reload without needing triple tap or precision hits, plus an additional 10% damage without needing to do anything.
Triple tap gives you ammo from thin air. Better ammo economy

So basically, if this thing is your fire and forget weapon in your rotations, use the CC + CR roll, and if you use it moreso as your consistent fire with a fire and forget heavy, use the RR + TT roll?

When you tested Chaos Reshaped, were you testing as if it was at x2 the whole time?
Chill Clip/Chaos roll is goldly with the raid pulse (Nullify) because you can swap and 1 tap overload stun with it without chaos dropping off on your pulse. I've been using it to great effect in Glassway and clearing faster with this combo than I would with the standard outbreak strat everyones running.

Damaging immune targets keeps Chaos Reshaped Proc’d, right? I thought it did with frenzy. Haven’t tested it yet, but could be a good tips for keeping it before a boss DPS starts.
Im gonna go utility on this one, chill clip chaos reshape in gms, especially with anti barrirer sniper being up this season. 1 shot for both barriers and overloads, two shots for unstop, or throw a rocket sidearm on for unstop, weve got action which doesnt have lead from gold, but ammo mercy is nice in gms, or a good kindness.
solar holster still hunt rotation but instead of proc-ing bait n switch with a normal primary you use the 3 shots on this with chill clip sounds pretty insane
one thing you missed with chill clip was that in a damage scenario, someone else is going to shatter the boss, so will that make it so you can freeze twice?

Tac Mag isn't hard capped, it's just not enough of a start increase to round up to the next bullet.
An aggressive sniper with a larger base inventory size might be able to get to 5 with Tac Mag.

Got an adept with chillclip/rewind rounds/reconstruction and chaos reshaped/bait and switch. It's just missing tripple tap but I don't care at all lol.

i hate frenzy type perks always goes away right before I need it and never activates in time for when i need it.
Hey Ehroar or someone reading this, I just got the godroll that I like for Breachlight but I am struggling to find a playstyle or even a build to use it effectively. By the time I used to rock this pistol in pve, builds and the game were more simple. Y'all have some build or tips on how to use Breachlight in today's game? I love the weapon but none of my current builds synergises with it.

Doesn't explosive payload count as two hit for rewind rounds? With hung jury that mean you never reload the the thing so I would've like to see how that works with the way smaller mag
Even if it does Triple Tap's ability to generate free ammo as you fire it makes it a better option to get the full reloads from Rewind
Did you test whether normal RR and the base mag of 3 shots is enough to shoot your entire reserves? You might have to pause between a shot or 2 when it procs so all your hits count but in theory, one shot (33% of the mag) will always clear the 28.75% trigger threshold for RR, and because the 0.6 * hits calculation is rounded up, getting 3 hits reloads 2 (3 * 0.6 = 1.8, rounded up to 2), getting 2 hits still reloads 2 (2 * 0.6 = 1.2, rounded up to 2), and even if you miss one, getting 1 hit should reload 1 (0.6 for 1 hit gets rounded up to 1). So long as the rounding works the way the API says it does, you can shoot without reloading and still have a damage perk, with forgiveness for 2 misses (1 in the first mag, 1 in any mag after).
I wonder when the Adept version drops, would Adept Mag give it 2 more bullets.

its not even comparable it will always be rapid frame snipers for pve over aggressive

Wewind wounds
You could already do something similar with the new pale heart sniper Embraced Identity, it's better with ammo econ as well because it's adaptive frame. That weapon gets rewind + FTTC which is a tad more effective when combined with the weapon's increased shot count. It more compares to D1 1000 yard stare with triple tap + mulligan, which was a staple in GMs back then
CR is very nice but it does take a whole 24 seconds to reach its max potential, so that is also definitely a consideration when it comes to using it for DPS.
i think recon + B&S is definitely a very safe roll, but i cant deny the chill clip potential is pretty cool. maybe just throw on facet of command for prismatic or something to make up for recon
CC+CR is gonna be a great gm sniper. It can deal with overloads and unstops with CC, and high impacts are better for killing high health majors in a gm setting than rapid fires anyway. A Succession with recombination fully stacked will still be the king of getting those 1 shot kills in gms, but the utility of being able to deal with champs and having much better overall dps and total damage makes this sniper have more utility overall. And CR will almost always be at x2 in a gm anyway which ads healing as well.

no it doesn't work.
Need two more frames to craft but as far as drops I got a chill clip chaos roll and a chill clip BaS extended mag. So I’m good til I can craft it

@Ehroar Explosive Payload can roll in the 2nd column. Would this allow you to proc Chill Clip twice with one shot due to two instances of weapon damage? Could allow for faster shatter for big damage
no it doesn’t work it still only procs twice
Chill clip applies once per firing - so if you have an auto rifle with it it only procs on the first shot of a full auto, and on every shot if you tap-fire. So explosive won't make it apply twice, just like burst weapons don't apply 3-9 procs.

Whilst its not an intended thing, it did reveal how chill clip actually works - the reason why chill clip wouldnt apply twice on explosive payload is the same reason it doesnt apply to, lets say, a fusion rifle burst - rule being, one trigger pull = one slow burst on hit

high impact snipers like this are the best for general play imo, rapid fires are all about hitting 7 crits in a row and do so little on single shots. Chill clip bait & switch or chaos reshaped is so good for just general pve and with chill clip it isn’t punishing for missing crits
Tbh triple tap and chill clip prob good for gms since can stun 2 champs and good for damage and slowing things down and ammo effective

I need a test on this blinding nade volt shot wave frame undercurrent against forbearance
Not sure about numbers but my opinion is that they both clear ads in a similar fashion and have similar effectiveness after the chain reaction nerf. BUT, there is a benefit to using undercurrent and forbearance for different purposes.
Under current: due to jolt, if this weapon (with volt shot) is used with an arc subclass, you can build into ionic traces for crazy ability regen.
Forbearance (into the light origin trait): can be used to a greater extent than under current on non arc subclasses due to the lack of jolt/ionic trace synergy. Forbearance has demo/wellspring as an option + the into the light origin trait, which will yield massive ability regen on all subclasses. Or, you can do a chain roll and still get solid ability regen.
Forbearance (VoW raid version): the big difference between this forbearance and under current/into the light forbearance is that, this forbearance doesn’t really benefit any builds. However, the classic ambitious and chain roll does great ad clear and rewards you with a solid amount of health back.
Summary:
Undercurrent: best used when playing arc subclass WITH an ionic trace build and volt shot on the weapon.
Forbearance (into the light): best used on all subclasses, but may be worse than undercurrent when considering an ionic trace build. Demo + well spring for most abilities.
Forbearance (raid version): lacks solid ability regen, but excels at rewarding fast kills (using ambitious + chain) with health. Better work horse ad clear weapon than the other two options.
All options are great, and outperform each other in certain ways. The classic forbearance is probably still the best ad clear gl out of these three (considering you get health back, which allows you to keep mowing through enemies), but it lacks in the abilities department.
@@Olgod2004 idk I think blinding on the wave frame is being overlooked was using it in the raid and although it doesn’t have a huge area of effect it’s clutch for stops enemies it isn’t strong enough to kill in one shot and the vanguard health regen perk paired with the new perk on raid weapons was nice on prismatic volt shot kills make you amped wish that was more than a speed boost but it is clutch for second encounter mine has blinding demo and volt shot my smg has pugilist and the new raid perk

11. Dump Edge transit again, which should still have both buffs
12. 1 still hunt shot
13. Pop and shoot snoldy
14. Repeat from step 7 with if you still have edge transit ammo.

The only thing is on #10 you only use 2 shots, you only have to freeze not destroying the freeze and 2 shots on an aggressive frame procs cascade (tied to your magazine, keep it a bit low) so you can do the swaps faster

I have to check if the timer runs out on cascade point if you do the snoldy shots and the 2 shots from anomaly, if it doesn't its gold if it does then it will definetly be you rotation
The reason I like this rotation a bit more is that you don't do that many swaps (handling on all the weapons is a bit low) so it's faster and you don't reload anything imo

if chaos reshaped is 35% then it is the exact same as bait and switch so they are equally good, chaos reshaped sometime might be tricky to proc in certain encounters. also I will be using supremacy any day of the week over this honestly

Only good thing about this sniper is chill clip for GM champs , other than that supremacy is the superior option for literally everything (including GMs lol since there’s 10000 ways to stun champs now a days)
Yeah this entire video could've been a lot shorter if it didn't run with some generous theoreticals. It fundamentally didn't tell us a ton we couldn't already figure out considering other situations we've had to work with and can math out where you'd use it and where it stands next to other Boss DPS snipers, especially when factoring in basic weapon swapping.
Critical Anomaly isn't bad it kinda plays a little closer to the idea of where Succession sits even though Recombination's x10 shot is more appreciated, somebody could do a lot worse for their special weapon's contribution, but yeah this isn't really something you're gonna want to put a ton of stock into for raid boss damage when there's a lot of better options in play. I could see myself using it in probably a GM where there's more flexibility for the weapons you run.

Chill clip isn't a good dps perk. It is for utility. This is an amazing unique sniper, but it's essentially useless in the new raid. GM monster right here.

Most of the weapons in the raid are all amazing. The pulse is top tier with it being a double fire frame with heal clip/incan or firefly/incan, the bow is literally a legendary trinity ghoul, the sniper is amazing, and the sword is also very solid. The only mid loot is the glaive (but that's mostly just due to it being a glaive in general)
Chill clip is bad in team scenarios. And supremacy, the best rapid fire in the slot, wasn’t even mentioned.

Another role is Chill Clip Explosive payload. Once again, not everything is just about dmg :) Any place you're using a sniper, you're using stillhunt or whisper (in raids/dungeons. I know people reading this will somehow need it to be said :/), I'd rather have utility and aoe freezing
chill clip is where the aoe comes from. i don't think explosive payload tags would work (although tbf i don't have that roll)
@@deltapb The aoe damages everything around it enough to kill without ruin on prismatic or the corresponding stasis fragment, I used it in gms today, the overloads surrounded by ads would freeze and kill the damaged ads next to it when it shattered. I was on strand as well so I had no help with shatters.
CR is terrible for the inconsistent amount of time for the max damage. bns all day imo
I mean if you use it as a weapon you swap to after you run out of heavy ammo in a dps phase, you'll likely already have the perk fully stacked to make full use of its damage. Far from being terrible
