My first experience of scuba diving was more than overwhelming. A bit scared, bit nervous and a lot excited, we started our day with a briefing from our instructor @mantasticdivers followed by a training session at the beach.
Then it was time for the dive. I have water phobia and the thought of jumping right into the ocean with a heavy cylinder on my back, trust me was not a good feeling. My mind was constantly asking me "not to get into the water" and my heart was like "ek baar try to karle".
Going back and forth many times and after wasting almost 15 mins of everyone's time, I got into the water with the help of a ladder.
Once I was down in the water and put my head down to see the beauty of the underwater world, I didn't want to come back. The underwater world is like a different universe with so many beautiful and colorful fishes and other organisms on the reef, the colourful coral reefs. I also saw a huge Eagle Ray.
Heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at @mantasticdivers for their amazing support and guidance. 💖💖
When I came back from my dive, it literally was like the ZNMD moment for me. I was a changed self, grateful for this life and such experiences that travel brings with it.
And so, I ticked off the first item from my bucketlist - Scuba Diving!!

What is the cost of scuba diving in maafushi

Hey, We did it in Dharavandhoo and we paid around $95. We got a discount as we were a group of 14 people.
It might be something around $100 to $120 in Maafushi as well. Again it depends, it might be a little higher in peak season.
